    Interesting question. I think America has an Empire of influence, both politically and culturally, rather than an Imperial Empire the likes of which Britain once had.

    That's quite strange, although I do remember watching a documentary that said that the US was just a corporation that had been set up by the East India Company. Can't remember the name of the documentary.

    Hmmm! That's true, after all Britain had to suppress a mutiny in India in 1857, and even earlier, many of Spain's colonies rose up against their masters, and let's not forget a certain revolution that spawned the USA. Yep, I think you're right Judi.

    Interesting. I also think that the Austro-Hungarian Empire would still exist, and Russia would still be ruled by the Tsars.
