Thanks for the clarification, always wondered why one was ESL, and the other EFL. :)
I've been told that ESL is the preferred term nowadays as there is a stigma attached to the word 'foreign' (which is represented in EFL). All for political correctness (gone mad?!)
They are both used interchangeably these days.
