What type of education do you prefer for your children?

Is it public school, private school, schooling with a religious based background, boarding schools or home schooling? What are the primary benefits?

I loved your approach to how you handled the education of your children. The early years are TRULY the most important because it is on that base foundation that they build the skills to tackle the rest of their lives.

I agree Sadie that it is nice that there are options out there with regard to educating children. Home schooling is hard work for the parent and takes much time & dedication. Many more parents seem to be taking on that job.

Our neighbor's son is a pre-schooler and is enrolled in a Montessori school several days a week. I am amazed at all the things he is learning!

It certainly would take dedication on the part of a parent to homeschool...but how very satisfying if done correctly! By having a more "hands on" approach, you can also cut out some of the negatives found in public schools. Drugs, gangs, etc.
