That is really the key in my opinion: knowing how to ask the right question. Often times, asking the right question is more important than the actual answer.
In my case, I think hunting knowledge helped and helps me formulate the right questions sometimes - not always. As one of my philosophy professors once said: "Humans have clay feet." Accidents, mistakes and such do happen.
Education ... it's all in education. The more we know, the more we experience and understand, the more likely we will be in asking the right questions.
Just my opinion.
All the best!
