Sun solar flares increasing in intensity, is this part of 2012 vision of the Mayans?

With the 2012 vision of this time ending and the influence of the cosmos recorded to create this vision, do you think the sun's solar flare activity is connected to this possible outcome?

I believe there is a link but I do believe that the whole Mayan calender 2012 thing has been used as disinformation.  A few days ago 30 people died in America as a result of a heatwave resulting from solar flares.  The weather is erratic all over the world flooding, earthquakes, psunamies, heatwaves, etc.  It's certainly not stable.

For more scientifically valid information on this subject I suggest you read some of my hubs:

So what? Even if it is then we all can dig a hole and hide inside the earth.

Only if you know the secret password and the secret hand shakes?  I can give you the password but you will have to figure out the handshake on the day?  Sorry but that’s the deal.

You know I really don't know. Yet, I love listening to them at work. It helps calm my overactive mind. I see other links, so you can go here and listen to VLF signals. There is a good read about them there too. Seems solar flares is very common with any of the listening stations. I usually listen to Sheffield UK and sometimes Florida. There is a submarine base near Sheffield and you can sometimes hear those as well. It is white sound and very calming too. When I want to write sometimes I listen for ET and her/his friends - smile . . . http://www.ab9il.net/vlf/

I don't believe so and I consider myself a reasonably open minded person. However, if you are worried about your electronics and your own health you can build a safe room and make sure you have provisions (food, water, medicine) that will last you for up to a year or more because without power, business as we know it can't be conducted and grocery/drug stores likely will be empty in a matter of hours or days in the worst-case scenario of grid failures.

This is nothing new. Solar flares are known to increase in intensity every 11 years. NASA has a great educational video on the subject at http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/sunea … lares.html

Yeah and I know something that you don’t, NASA staff have got the password to the underground bunkers, because there are holes in our magnetosphere!  The shields are down Scotty! yikes

nope...it is as per expectation...nothing wrong with sun and mayans where plain humans...many including religious writers have tried to predict end of world...world existed before humans bursted to the scene and would continue till sun is there....only comet or crazy religious war or cooling down of sun can end the world...

No. Solar flares are routine occurrences, and there are somewhat predictable cycles when the flares are worse. Use sunscreen, wear sunglasses and stop worrying.

No. The sun is on a roughly 11 year cycle for solar flare activity.

No, solar flares are entirely normal and the Mayans only had a very rudimentary understanding of how these things work. No insult to them  but we certainly have far more useful and accurate tools for understanding reality now.

The Sun has another 5,000,000,000 years left in it and while the Earth will be uninhabitable sometime before then, our immediate concerns should focus on what we can do in terms of population management, habitat restoration, biodiversity conservation, energy production, land use and food distribution in order to ensure as happy a time as possible for as long as possible for the most number of living things.

That takes clear thinking, good science and a lot of sensible goodwill. There really isn't time to faff about with spirituality, magic, superstition, prophecies etc. It really doesn't help. On the contrary, it makes things much more difficult to resolve by distracting people from what matters and what they can practically do. Superstition is fundamentally anti-biological and therefore anti-life.

I really don't think it's an issue, solar flare intensity fluctuate all the time. The only difference now is that it is coinciding with the Mayan's "vision." I think we should be more worried about the financial state of the world that the solar flare intensity!

The only thing that solar flares are connected to are the sun and whatever gets in their way. The Mayans and their calender have nothing to do with that.

Mayan descendants say there will be 20 more years of high dsolar activity and other natural extremes:
