I have become more aware of my reactions in recent years. Every time I get upset about something, I ask myself what it is that is bothering me. Usually, I'm being judgmental or there is some kind of limiting belief behind my reaction. I'm learning to be less judgmental about other people (very hard when it's a politician) and situations (impossible when Big Pharma sticks its poison in my face on TV). I'm also learning to let go my limiting beliefs one by one. It takes time and commitment (I use EFT) but it's worth it because that's the only way to work on personal growth, and I think that personal growth has everything to do with increasing your emotional intelligence. You can say any number of positive affirmations, but if you don't get rid of your limiting beliefs, affirmations don't get you anywhere.
