   Being a life long resident of the northeastern United States, I must admit it is the springtime I look forward to and enjoy the most. As an avid gardener (both vegetables and flowers) the mere thought of planning and planting in the spring brings me an extra hop in my step. I have often said that when my hands are in the soil that is when I feel the closest to my "higher power." Of course, summer is almost a Siamese twin of spring for me, but it is the springtime when the roots of new life are planted.

      I know what you mean about spring. I'm originally from the east coast. It was fun planting gardens in the spring.

   I would have to say winter. I love the snow and have since I was a small child. The cold really doesn't bother me and the snow is just so beautiful. The more snow the merrier, as long as the power stays on. Praying for a white Christmas.

      I liked snow when I was a child on the east coast. After spending two hours removing snow from my car in order to drive drive two miles to work, snow wasn't fun any more.

   Late spring is my favorite time of year.  When spring starts here it is wet and dreary, but as the season progresses, everything is so green, fresh and new, and the sunshine is so welcome.  I love the feeling of coming summer and spring still has the cooler more comfortable temperatures.

      The transition from winter to spring can be cold and grey, but the transition from spring to summer can be very beautiful.

   For me, it's the fall.  I love the coolness, the colors, the transition to winter which would be my next favorite season.  Of course, I grew up in cold climes so no surprise there!  There is just a sense to autumn that I love but can't put my finger on.  Gorgeous picture, by the way!

      The photo is winter in Orange County in Southern California. Lake Mission Viejo is in the foreground. The twin peaks of Saddleback Mountain (Saddleback and Modjeska) are in the background. I live a mile north of the lake.

   Since I'm in Florida and our spring season flows right into summer and I don't really notice much of a difference, I'll have to say sprummer. Sprummer is the perfect time of the year

   Summer for me - but preferably summer in Florida or Spain or Mexico since Summer in England is like ....well...Antarctica!  I think I wore long johns one day this summer )

   I have to admit I initially thought you were referring to the hotel brand.
   
   I love fall. Fall brings beautiful leaves , beautiful weather, and the holidays are just before us. I wish it lasted much longer.

      You answered my question correctly. I was referring to weather, etc. I would have typed "Four Seasons" if I were referring to the hotel chain.The trees in my neighborhood are primarily evergreens. I don't get to see trees with leaves changing colors.

   Love winters in Florida.  While the rest of the nation is scraping ice from windshields and having to shovel walks, I am basking in the warm sun and enjoying the mild weather.

    Fall! For one thing it means Halloween. It means the anticipation of snow just around the corner (yet halfway through winter I'm sick of snow, so, no, winter isn't my favorite!). It means burning leaves making the air smell amazing and cool air that isn't cold.
