Do you mean like after a few months or already in pain, waiting for death, and will die in a few minutes scenario??
If I knew I will die in a few months, I will endure it. It's not over until it's over.
May be I'll start a blog or write a book, or make contribution to the society. Then I'll go traveling, trying dangerous adventures, and doing things I always wanted to do.

No. One never knows what miracles God could perform in one's life. Our lives are in is hands and his hands alone.

In theory I would choose to take the matter into my own hands at some point. If the situation did arise, that's a different story, because you can't know how you'll feel. Thinking about being given a bad diagnosis is a lot different to actually being given one. I've known people who said they would end things, but then chose to fight for every last moment.

    Absolutely!
I will choose the time of my departure and how much suffering I will endure so long as it is within my power. I also have a plan should I be incapacitated.
I usually have the means at hand but I know what to use and how to procure it if need be. But if all else fails there is always the .357 solution, though I would hate to leave such a mess for someone else to clean up.
There is no great honor in suffering, nothing to prove by enduring great pain.
As an amputee I know just how bad pain can be and if I didn't know that it was going to get better its not worth living just to hurt.

Exactly the answer I was looking for. Why suffer if you know there will never be a change. Why live in pain and misery needlessly.
