If you knew you were dying and it could be long and drawn out, would you end it sooner?
If you knew you were dying and that it could be long a grueling, Would you decide to end it sooner? with say pills or some other way???or would you endure it to the end?
Do you mean like after a few months or already in pain, waiting for death, and will die in a few minutes scenario??
If I knew I will die in a few months, I will endure it. It's not over until it's over.
May be I'll start a blog or write a book, or make contribution to the society. Then I'll go traveling, trying dangerous adventures, and doing things I always wanted to do.
When I said long and drawn out I meant yrs. not minutes...Thank you for your answer.
No. One never knows what miracles God could perform in one's life. Our lives are in is hands and his hands alone.
In theory I would choose to take the matter into my own hands at some point. If the situation did arise, that's a different story, because you can't know how you'll feel. Thinking about being given a bad diagnosis is a lot different to actually being given one. I've known people who said they would end things, but then chose to fight for every last moment.
Thank you for your answer. I guess one never knows till they face it head on.
Absolutely!
I will choose the time of my departure and how much suffering I will endure so long as it is within my power. I also have a plan should I be incapacitated.
I usually have the means at hand but I know what to use and how to procure it if need be. But if all else fails there is always the .357 solution, though I would hate to leave such a mess for someone else to clean up.
There is no great honor in suffering, nothing to prove by enduring great pain.
As an amputee I know just how bad pain can be and if I didn't know that it was going to get better its not worth living just to hurt.
Exactly the answer I was looking for. Why suffer if you know there will never be a change. Why live in pain and misery needlessly.
Thanks; I' still hoping to either go in my sleep or suddenly and unexpectedly.
Just make sure you have a will and that your mom won't find your porn collection,,, not much of an issue for me at 60,,, just saying ;-)
You are sooo funny. I don't have a porn collection ) LOL and Iike you I hope when it's my time that I'll go in my sleep. I have heard of people who have pulled the plug. That's why I asked the question.

Does a person start dying at the moment of birth? Or, does a person start dying at the moment of...conception? Or, do we start to die after we reach our physical peak, which is reached at about the age of 25? Some say that you can tell a lot about a person by the way they look at death...is that...

Why is it that we are drawn to religious questions?I find myself drawn to religious questions. I am interested in the responses of others and also formulate my own response. The prolem I have is that, no matter how hard I try I cannot bring myself to respond. Are there others here who feel the same...
