Fukushima is killing the pacific.... Why is it the world media is not making this known?
The radio Active waste spewing into the Pacific is literally killing much life in the the whole ocean, and it will be changed forever. As mushrooms are (found at the Chernobyl disaster) developing that change radiation into a different energy which they use and neutralize the radio active properties in the process.... lets hope mother nature shows us a cure to heal the ocean. A cure mankind can use to assist mother nature in the clean up. The media should not hide these truths.
Because the USA is too heavily invested in supporting the military resurgence of Japan and the right wing policies of President Abe. After the quake and typhoon last week, there were more leaks at Fukushima. The Japanese people are afraid to go near the place. It is a major travesty but America and the west won't point a finger. They're too worried about losing what they see as a critical ally to counter the rising economic power of China.
What materials were used? their by-products? half lives? how far had the leaks gone so far? I live in the Philippines and am worried ratioactive materials from Fukusima might pollute us.
enenews.com has been reporting on the this regularly. It may be a site to get the details.
Well, Bikini Atoll is a spectacular scuba diving destination. They did nuclear testing there in the 60's. Several of the ships they sank are great dives.
Were the ships filled with radioactive waste? Also - is there any specific plant or fish live that seems to thrive around the ships but not found much elsewhere?
I agree that this is a horrible situation which further ruins our oceans and food supplies. At the moment over 80% of fish shouldn't be eaten frequently and some varieties shouldn't be consumed at all! When there are no immediate clean-up projects to monitor or evil villains to display before the media , the story gets swept under the rug. Also, many people choose to live in denial. Behind the scenes, there are activists calling for immediate clean-up (GreenAction.org) and asking for a ban on nuclear reactors. The news has just fallen away from the mainstream media. No surprise there!
Tepco will FINALLY begin early stages of cleanup w/ plans to robotically remove the spent fuel rods, then others in a trial run this week. The pressure is on to call for an international task force to help. Estimated cost of cleanup is 300 billion.

Why did God design life in such a way that to survive you must kill another life form?
