Well the problem with religion is like a tool ,a certain tool has a purpose. It accomplishes your goal of what you are trying to do. Mainly to reach the surpreme being of the Universe.
But people in general have abused the tool or channel used to do this.
Some have even changed the tool into something else , and some just refuse to use a tool at all.
In the name of religion people have done it all. Said it all ,and denied it all.
Results are as we see today. People are fed up. Or they are very confused .
As an example there is a difference . Are you searching for him or a way out of doing the right thing.
1Ch 28:9 “And you, Solʹo·mon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a complete heart and with a delightful soul, for Jehovah searches through all hearts, and he discerns every inclination of the thoughts. If you search for him, he will let himself be found by you, but if you leave him, he will reject you forever.

My comment was why people are negative period  ,as an over all out look,
Because really each one has a personal choice of why they may be negative.

I know, but the question is how has Western religion ITSELF (Christianity) created negativity. You of course, being a Christian, will not accept the fact that your religion has certainly caused a negative outlook on society.

Religion itself in the hands of  many has caused a negative outlook ,no matter where you go on this planet there is a religion. But as an example people get it backwards, while people are arguing ,debating, bashing the subject, something is happening

I think the question needs to be refined a bit. Religions are more or less global these days, so I'm not even sure what a "Western" religion is these days.
Religions in general have negative effects in human psychology because of the way they train their followers to think or actually to NOT think.
Almost all religion that I have seen in practice is just an excuse to keep memorizing dogma, repeating rituals, and discouraging the scientific method of examining our world.
Case in point today is the view that "God" will "save" the planet. Religions expect that their faith in "God" will "save" "god's children" from climate change, illnesses, "enemies", and whatever else is afflicting them.
They assume the victim mentality instead of actually trying to fix whatever is wrong.
Their is no "savior" other than ourselves. Prayer doesn't do anything in reality or even psychologically. It's all repetitive rote memorization of meaningless words.
And as we all know, only action can benefit the psyche. Only action can promote change throughout the world.
Blaming "the devil" is no longer valid. We must admit to ourselves that WE are the only "Gods" that can save this planet and ourselves.

The operational definition of Western religions in this context are the Abrahamic religions.

It is wonderful to know if you had the power what you would do. But can a infant change his diaper after a big mess? If you left it up to him he would lay in it cry in it and make a bigger mess.
We as humans are in a bigger mess on this planet.

Well, isn't that a cop out? We are NOT children sitting in a diaper. We are grown adults and WE are destroying ourselves and our planet. This question doesn't pertain to babies that lay around and whine. Or maybe it does in your case. Keep on praying

Before you and I was born this earth was bad ,now it is super bad. Where is the improvement from goverment after goverment.
Why are we at the door to a nuclear wiping out.
Why is this country broke ,and harming its own citizens!
      Because of man.

Exactly my point! But I can't believe you think that some magic man in the sky is going to come down one day and change the world's diapers. No, we must learn to do that ourselves. No one is coming to "save" us!

Just because we live on this planet does not mean we own it . We are invited to live here. And many do not appreciate that  to the point they have destroyed the property. Man continues to destroy by sea and land.
      Animals.
      One day this will end.

We do not own the land, we are caretakers. I would love to see a list from you K&T regarding what YOU personally can do to help our planet, our home. We can save ourselves if we try. It's not the "end times" & won't ever be. The Universe goes
