   Should medicinal marijuana be allowed nationwide in the USA?
   
   It might stop some of the gangs from Mexico smuggling in marijuana and create so much needed tax money!

   The only issue is, how can you be sure that the person prescribed the drug won't go off and sell it?

   Alcohol prohibition in the U.S. in the 1920s and 1930s, and the current "drug war" are exercises in one group deciding to butt in to other groups' business.
   
   So what if someone sells it?  The medical thing is immaterial.  How about freedom, all you drug war fascists?
   
   Alcohol prohibition greatly increased organized crime and the power of the Mafia.  Drug prohibition has increased all sorts of crime and increased the power of the drug rings.
   
   Legalization would take most of the money out of the equation.
   
   Yeah, I know, one excuse for having the drug war is to protect the children.  Eff the children.  Protect your own litters of spawn.
   
   You want "world peace"?  Mind your own effing business.

   You would know that one would not go off and sell it because no one would pay more for medicinal marijuana than they would have to via a prescription. Medicinal marijuana is already more expensive than non-medicinal marijuana, and the only way for someone with a prescription to make money off of it would be to sacrifice his prescription and to sell it for a much higher price than the true cost of the medication itself. The only people who would actually buy from a highly unlikely seller is if they themselves are mentally unstable, unable to think clearly, in possession of large sums of cash, etcetera. No one buys medical marijuana because it sounds neat in doing so, they buy it because they actually have a genuine need for such a prescription, however this applies to those whom have or need prescriptions.
   
   People without prescriptions will most likely continue growing their own or purchasing from people who grow, and as it is the largest cash crop in America legislators are only killing the economy quicker through not legalizing the medication federally to generate revenue. Making it a requirement to have a license to sell will make the business safer for everyone and will shrink the criminal element of the enterprise and make it easier on the police officers and agents involved in the Mexican-American drug trade.
