Because there are so many online schools it is difficult to say which is the best one.

Your best bet is to narrow your selection down to say 10 schools that you think look suitable and then research them on the Internet (and offline) to make sure they are good schools.

Off line asking business or industry in the particular industry would be a good way to go.

One main question you need to ask yourself is how businesses or industry see the school.  If they don't rank it highly and having a qualification from it doesn't mean to much, then it is best to go with a different school, or you will be wasting your money.

You can also check with the State department to make sure they are properly accredited and the like!

I agree, there are so many good schools with online programs now. If I were you, I would gather the names of all the schools that offer your program and sort them based on your own needs.

Which offers more financial aid, the best job placement, the best reputation, etc. Think of the things that you want from the school.

This will take a bit of time but will be worth it when you find the perfect school and get to study from home, knowing you've made a great choice.

Check Stevens-Henager College (http://www.stevenshenager.edu/ ) for their online degree programs. They offer several degrees in business as well as computers and other fields. Their curriculum is well designed to include practical exposure wherever necessary. I have completed my online degree in computer science and found the coursework pretty interesting.

Yes, too many that it can be confusing! Online or distance learning is the latest innovation in education, made possible largely in part by the advent of the internet. So to narrow down your choices, start with knowing what course to take and in what schools are they available.
You can also get useful information about the schools and degree programs through evaluative rankings like those found in http://www.thebestcolleges.org/rankings/. But like in any investment, find out all you can about the institution before parting with your hard earned money. Good luck!
