The G.I. generation or the Greatest generation(1900-25) are slowing dying off.  They have left a great legacy for America in terms of democracy, the building and further modernization of America.  They have created one of the greatest standards of living and qualitative life that America has known.  They were the parents of us Boomers.  All I have to say is we salute and love you.  We will always remember YOU ......

They are also leaving the biggest debt burden their children won't be able to pay. And they are going to withdraw their funds and cause a collapse of the stock market and economic collapse.

We will miss them big time. Once they are gone, we will not know what common sense is.
But in my experience they were overly critical. I was afraid of them. They can still be hard to deal with.
But we can be thankful they were SO strong, positive and hardworking. (I am including those born through the mid 1930's.)
