Xerxes was a man of unimaginable feats, a ruler of great power, wealth, and prosperity.  The ruler of Persia, the greatest empire in the world in ancient standards, had both ups and downs in his career as ruler, what were they?  I challenge you to dig up what exactly Persia was committed to as a civilization, whether it be cultural, militarily, or simply in economic standards.  Express yourselves valiantly, I'm sure many mixed responses will be found here.
