      I think he was a sick man who made great discovers in psychology.

    Freud basically wanted to contend that behind every consious psychological suffering, there was a subconsious issue related to a person's childhood, and that issue is most likely correlated with sexuality or sex.

      As much as people knock on Freud, a lot can be traced back to his theroy. His theory is well known and "used" in some context daily.

    Take the science out of Freud and he becomes a genuinely interesting observer of human life. All those idiotic meta theories were his undoing.
