Noah's Ark found. Great Evidence.

Noah's Ark discovered in the Mountains of Ararat.

Noah's ark is real, the bible is the truth. Read the true story of finding Noah's Ark and the artifacts found there. It's the most exciting discovery adventure EVER and was found in Turkey. The Turkey officials even have a museum commemorating this is the petrified remains of Noah's Ark. It was built nearby the ark boat shape in a location near the mountains of Mt. Ararat. Even the anchor stones that helped the safety of the boat are still there. Did lava really preserve this ancient bible artifact? Discover Noah's Ark for yourself. Dig into Ron Wyatt's discoveries.

"And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen." (Genesis 8:4-5)

Did you see that? God shows us something new! It doesn't say mountain. It says "tops of the mountains" and "mountains of Ararat". Where are the mountains of Ararat? This would certainly include the mountain range of Ararat.

1960 Original Discovery from Airplane.

Newspaper: While routinely examining aerial photos of his country, a Turkish army captain suddenly gaped at a picture... There, on a mountain 20 miles south of Mt. Ararat, the biblical landfall of Noah's Ark, was a boat-shaped form about 500-515 feet long. The captain passed on the word. Soon an expedition including American scientists set out for the site.

At 7,000 feet, in the midst of crevasses and landslide debris, the explorers found a clear, grassy area shaped like a ship and rimmed with steep, packed-earth sides. Its dimensions are close to those given in Genesis: 'The length of the ark shall be 300 cubits, the breadth of it 50 cubits, and the height of it 30 cubits,' that is, 450x75x45 feet. A quick two-day survey was made. A scientist in the group says "a ship-like object that has almost unbroken symmetry." ~Life Magazine 1960

"1986 Turkish officials with Ron Wyatt make official decision."

February 1987 - Ron meets with the Governor of the Agri District, Mr. Sevket Ekinci. The December 1986 decision was positive - it was the official decision of members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of Internal Affairs, and researchers from Ataturk University, among others, that the "boat-shaped formation" did indeed contain the remains of Noah's Ark!"

"Plans were made for the official dedication of the site, which would include Ron as guest of honor as the "discoverer" of the fact that it was truly the remains of Noah's Ark."

"June 20, 1987 - Ron participates in the Dedication of "Noah's Ark."

"On the mountainside overlooking the former "boat shaped object", which had now been proclaimed by the Turkish Government to be "Noah's Ark", were gathered a large number of dignitaries, from the local level to the national level, as well as high ranking military. Journalists were also present."

"The plans were made public for a visitors' center to be erected on the spot. The governor spoke the dedication in Turkish and then he lifted the first shovel full of dirt - the groundbreaking of the new visitors' center. Ron, as guest of honor, lifted the second shovel full of dirt and then other dignitaries participated in the ceremony."

According to some sites this is the direction of the flow down the mountain. So I made an image from g**gleearth showing the direction this may have taken. This mountain is called "Wall of Heaven". The landing point at the top has had some significant ancient evidence found. (If you have more information about the original landing site, before it's current day resting place, feel free to comment at the bottom)

Anchor Stones were used by Noah

"Walking over miles and miles of rugged terrain, one of the men motioned for Ron to take his photo by a very large standing rock. Only when he looked through the viewfinder did Ron realize that this "rock" was identical to the anchor stones found in the Mediterranean Sea that he had seen in archaeological books. That is except for one thing -- this "rock" was many, many times larger!" - Ron Wyatt -

Drogue stones were a feature of ancient ships, and were the ancient equivalent of a storm anchor. They have been found in the Nile and elsewhere in the Mediterranean area, and like the stones found by Wyatt, they are heavy and flat with a hole for connecting a line at one end. Their purpose was to create drag in the water or along shallow sandy bottoms: the stone was attached to one end of a boat, and the drag produced would cause the bow or stern to face into the wind and the oncoming wind-blown waves. Several anchor stones were found surrounding the site of the ark-shape.

The science behind dragging weights: paraanchor.com

There was one anchor stone revealed during one of Ron's visits that was buried (probably since the flood) that had NO crosses. So the recently carved crosses (usually 8) that were Byzantine and Crusader style were made because those who found them connected them to the 8 people on the ark.

Caring for the animals on the ark.

"Therefore, Noah probably stored the food and water near each animal. Even better, drinking water could have been piped into troughs, just as the Chinese have used bamboo pipes for this purpose for thousands of years. The use of some sort of self-feeders, as is commonly done for birds, would have been relatively easy and probably essential. Animals that required special care or diets were uncommon and should not have needed an inordinate amount of time from the handlers. Even animals with the most specialized diets in nature could have been switched to readily sustainable substitute diets. Of course, this assumes that animals with specialized diets today were likewise specialized at the time of the Flood."

Genesis Flood - "great deep burst open" - The great deep bursting open.

"...on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened. The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights." (Genesis 7:11-12)

Global Flood Model

If there was a Flood, most living things would have perished, and so we would expect a 'cut-off' point at this time. In other words, going into the past, we should reach a period of time in which there is a sharp reduction in the number of specimens compared to the period just older than that, and as we went forward in time, we would expect a gradual buildup, as plant and animal populations recovered their numbers.

Such a study has been done by Dr Robert Whitelaw. Using the 15,000 published dates, he grouped them into 500 year 'blocks' and found a dramatic drop-off about 5,000 years ago, with a worldwide distribution (Speak to the Earth, Ed. G. Howe. Presb. & Ref. Pub. Co, p.. 331).

Frequently Asked Question:

How'd they fit all those animals on the ark?

"Some have estimated that there were as many as 25,000 kinds of animals represented on the ark. This is a high-end estimation. With two of each kind and seven of some the number of animals would exceed 50,000, though not by very much relatively speaking. Regardless, whether there were 16,000 or 25,000 kinds of animals, even with two of each and seven of some, scholars agree that there was plenty of room for all of the animals on the ark, plus food and water with room to spare." ~ GotQuestions.org: Q: "How did Noah fit all the animals on the Ark?"

"The ark's total volume would have been 1,518,000 cubic feet (42,985 cubic meters). This would equal the capacity of 569 modern railroad stock cars." ~ BibleStudy.org: Q: "Was Noah's Ark BIG ENOUGH to hold ALL the animals?"

"...John Woodmorappe suggests that, at most, 16,000 animals were all that were needed to preserve the created kinds that God brought into the Ark." "...Noah wouldn't have taken the largest animals onto the Ark; it is more likely he took juveniles aboard the Ark to repopulate the earth after the Flood was over. These younger animals also require less space, less food, and have less waste." ~ AnswersInGenesis.org: Q: "How Could Noah Fit All the Animals on the Ark?"

"The Ark was 140 meters (500 ft) long, 14 meters high and 20 meters wide. It had three decks, a window along the top and a capacity of 15,000 tonnes. Korean naval architects analyzed a model of the ark in a hydraulic flume and discovered that it was an incredibly stable design, even for the roughest seas."BiblicalGeology.net http://biblicalgeology.net/Answer/How-did-Noah-fit-all-the-animals-on-the-Ark.html

What about the Ancient Wood Structure Found inside Mount Ararat in an ice chamber? - Interesting, but evidence is suspicious. Notice the cob webs.

Latest Noah's Ark 'just wood planted on Ararat' - April 28, 2010
Latest Noah's Ark 'just wood planted on Ararat' - April 28, 2010

^ About the "wood" Cave Found ^

News: APRIL 26, 2010 - Noah's Ark Found? - "The 15-person team claims to have recovered fragments of wood and pieces of rope from a structure on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey" (-Huffington Post)

(Don't confuse this wood chamber "find" with the 1960s-70s Durupinar boat-shape located near and below the mountain moved by a lava flow. ~ This wooden room "discovery" was found inside the Mountain. Notice the cobwebs.)

Quotes about this wooden chamber/cave:

- "There was one claim that it could just be a shepherd's hut, further proof will be needed. Getting to the sight will be very hard and will require a team of people to parachute in." (-Peter Chubb, PR)

- There was an expert on abcnews video that said He was not 99% sure it (wood chamber) was Noah's Ark exactly, but needs more investigation.

- "The wood's in too good a shape to be that old," - Richard Rives of WAR.

- Regarding some of the photos published online, Bob Cornuke told American Family Radio, "There are cobwebs up in the beams. You're not going to have wood at 14,000 feet in a glacier to have cobwebs in it. It's impossible to have that situation." - Bob Cornuke

- "This is not Noah's Ark," adds Bob Cornuke of the Bible Archaeology Search and Exploration Institute. "This is a fake. It's a fraud and it's of the highest caliber according to what I can assess from the evidence and talking to eyewitnesses and people from Turkey."

- "To make a long story short: this is all reported to be a fake," said Randall Price, director of Judaic Studies at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.

- Dr. Randall Price sent an e-mail dispatch to supporters asserting the structure is a hoax perpetrated by a Kurdish guide and his partners to extort money from Chinese evangelical Christians. To see his email click here: wnd.com

- "I was the archaeologist with the Chinese expedition in the summer of 2008 and was given photos of what they now are reporting to be the inside of the Ark."... Read Dr. Price's entire letter: bibleplaces.com

Just to be clear, this last segment (on the "ancient" wood room) is about the "discovery" of a wooden chamber "inside" Mount Ararat, it's NOT the same location as the boat shape found by Mr. Wyatt. This whole page is dedicated to Ron Wyatt's discovery at Durupinar, Turkey, this wooden "chamber find" has no relation.

Last night I stumbled onto a video of a man who believed in creation and he was pointing out it's truths in comparisons to the beliefs of evolutionist. I would have to say although considering myself a spiritual person, who has sought ways convincing enough to believe in creation that I had begun to lean more towards science and evolution. At the end of the video the speaker asked that anyone that wanted to be saved could repeat after him a short prayer asking Jesus to be saved and show them the way. I thought to myself, "why not, what do I have to lose." So I repeated after him the prayer. Funniest thing! Tonight about 24 hours after praying, I stumbled upon this lens about Noah's Ark. It would be hard for me not only to see the information as proof let alone not see that I was led to it by Jesus because of my prayer last night asking him to show me the way. Now if I were a fool I could go on, weighing the pros and cons of if or if not its the ARk or the elevation of mountains, or the volume of water or if there was room for all the animals on the ark and wind up doubting the existence of God all over again but I think not, I've been a skeptic far too long already. Jesus and this lens has made a believer out of me. I suggest you unbelievers say a prayer and start seeing the glass is half full and not half empty.

@orchidmg: Because they were added later during the Early Christian era using Byzantine-style crosses. The highly regarded historian Flavius Josephus mentions that Noah's Ark site was visited by his contemporaries (1st Century A.D.) in his book called Antiquities of the Jews, and that sojourners would often take artifacts away in hopes of being blessed.

Fun to read, but it never eds up. All the animals in the world can not be stored in a boat, let alone summoned to Noah. How did the Kangaroos come in Turkey ? Did they hop the ocean ? Or all the animals living in South and North America ? How do you feed the animals for a minimum of 40 days ? That's a lot of food!! (fresh eucalyptus leaves for the Koala) And water too. With the picture of the Global Flood Model you suggest that the creation of the world was 7000 years ago. 99% of the scientist takes the evolution theory as a fact. The earth is much older then 7000 years. Noahs Ark is just a story, why does it have to be a true story ? A fascinating story but fiction never the less. If Noah build the ark then Icarus flew to the sun and fell in the water. Why is one story more true then the other?

@anonymous: Because Christians tend to get really stupid about those sorts of things. All throughout history they'd start randomly killing large people groups off because of "heresy". Why a church so heavily persecuted at its inception would go everywhere persecuting else is beyond me.We modern-day Christians definitely have a lot to make up for.

blackflamingo777 profile image

@anonymous: Evolution exists, there is no denying that. The question is, does it happen on the scale that Darwin theorized? There is evidence of micro evolution all over the world, such as the increasing number of breeds of dogs. It is (IMHO) not unreasonable to assume there was one horse-like pair that turned into everything ranging from zebras, to donkeys, to horses, and all the things in between. Also, just because man hadn't discovered science, didn't mean God didn't understand science. On the contrary, God understands and knows everything. He could have (and did) select every animal that needed to be there to create the wide diversity of animals we see today.

About the large stone anchors, why did they have carvings of crosses on them when Noah lived a long time before Jesus' time and even before anyone used crucifixion as a form of death penalty for criminals?

On a serious note, it is tragic that only Noah and his family were saved...such a word to the wise today. With all his preaching to the mocking crowds, his first order of business was to build the ark. Frank Turek and Norm Geisler's book, "I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist" will go far in helping any doubters. When many college students are asked if they would believe in Jesus if Creationism were shown to be true...large numbers say they would not believe. Too many would rather live their sinful, immoral lives regardless of truth...so sad.

Fascinating lens. You have certainly done a lot of research. Thanks for putting this together. I find these sorts of things very interesting, especially Biblical archaeology.

anonymous 3 years ago

@anonymous: Today there are only about 6000 Mammals, 10000 reptiles and 9500 birds. the rest of the species are insects, spiders and scorpions so only about 25,000 take up any space on Ark. Insects probably ate animal waste and due to their reproducton rate were probably consumed by animals to keep their numbers in check The average size of mammals is less than a housecat with reptiles and birds requiring even less space . Dividing Arks Volume by # of Animals would be approx 48sq ft per type of animal.More than enough space even with food.

anonymous 3 years ago

@neoglitch17: God bless you!

anonymous 3 years ago

@anonymous: If you READ the bible, God did it because man was evil! He is not "cruel". He was ashamed He had made man! He was not simply "mad" but furious! Deuteronomy 29:29 the secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever. . . please read Genesis 7 again and maybe you will have a better understanding. Surely The Lord did not need to kill the mammals in the water. All other animals and creepy things Noah was told to grab two of, survived. The rest was left on the LAND to die. I don't think it's cruel at all by any means. But we do not know everything that went on the day the earth flooded but merely what The Lord has revealed. It isn't that complicated if you believe in what scripture says. I think you are thinking too hard, clearly we will never know if it is never willed.

anonymous 3 years ago

@anonymous: So god was mad at the people, so he decided to murder all living innocent land animals, but not the fish, whales and dolphins that are mammals who breathe air? Why did god forget to kill the mammals who live in water who have lungs and breathe oxygen? Surely, there was no need to put them on the ark. Why were the various species of whales and dolphins spared from death from the so-called sins of humans? "Gen 7:4 I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth." Seems kind of cruel.

anonymous 3 years ago

@ideadesigns: Being that these biblical stories occurred before known science, before it was known that the world was round and revolved around the sun, it was also before scientific classification of species. God did not know what a "species" was yet. Thus, how would you define "kind"? Are you referring to Class or Family? If so, with the current number of species, your Noah story would prove evolution. Please, define what "kind" thus meant?

Rogue-Dingo profile image

Rogue-Dingo 3 years ago

I would like to compliment you on the time it obviously took you to put this lens together. The Biblical story itself is just a re-telling of an earlier story from Sumerian and Babylonian accounts. To date the flood at 3000BC is pie in the sky I believe and if it did happen it more than likely occurred at 6000/8000BC or earlier as this would dovetail far better into other flood stories from various cultures around the world. At the time this date was calculated (3000BC) both the Sumerian and Egyptian cultures were well established and flourishing, so on that fact alone I have major misgivings regarding the dating by Dr Whitelaw..Cheers..

ideadesigns profile image

ideadesigns 3 years ago from Central USA Author

@anonymous: It's "kind" of animal, not species. There are links above about the number of animals and how it could have been done.

anonymous 3 years ago

@anonymous: That is not "evidence of a great flood." 2000 years, even 50,000 years, is a blip in time compared to the age of the earth. For instance, the land masses are continuously moving via tectonic action of our plates. The USA is moving toward Asia at a rate of 2 inches per year. This would mean that in several million years, North America will touch Asia. Several million years ago, the land masses were in starkly different positions, such movements have created mountains and ridges. Much land was previously under water.

anonymous 3 years ago

@anonymous: Why, then, were scientists and philosophers eschewed and/or murdered for their findings during the days of Socrates and Copernicus? And why was it the faithful who was after them?

anonymous 3 years ago

There are currently more than 3,000,000 (three million) species of animals currently know, with thousands more discovered every year. At a low estimate, this would have been more than 6 million+ animals on the ark. How to account for this more realistic scenario?

@anonymous: Not sure the origin of the sumerian creation/flood myth stories, but they dated the tablet around 2100+BC. Another interesting flood myth that seems to be common among civilizations.

ideadesigns profile image

ideadesigns 3 years ago from Central USA Author

@anonymous: Many religions and cultures around the world talk of a flood, very interesting. This article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Judi talks about the similarities of Christian bible's Mts of Ararat and Quran, interestingly it notes that Mount Judi could mean high hill and not a specific place. Looking on a map, Mt Judi is 190 southwest of Mt Ararat and the boat shape. Not sure how Judi plays into it. Ron believed it first rested on a high place very near where it currently is.

anonymous 3 years ago

However, I wonder how the remains of the Ark (or Ark itself) reach so far from the landing spot (Mount Judi) - to the North and East and Upward. As I can see the landing spot on Google Earth, It seems almost impossible.

anonymous 3 years ago

So, the final landing of Noah's Ark on Mount Judi is true as mentioned in the Holy Quran: [Translation: Abdullah Yousuf Ali] "Then the word went forth: "O earth! swallow up thy water, and O sky! Withhold (thy rain)!" and the water abated, and the matter was ended. The Ark rested on Mount JUDI, and the word went forth: "Away with those who do wrong!" [11:44]

Great site! I am a Bible believer, a lay pastor even. Yet Reagan said "Trust, yet verify." So my emotions are an interesting mix of faith and questions. Bottom line: I learned long ago that my God can do anything.Science was originally established so we can better understand God. He wants us to discover new things about Him. Thank you for all your work on this fascinating website.

anonymous 3 years ago

what i don't think many christians is that much of the old testament, especially the flood story (which is described in detail) was taken from many of the sumerian creation stories, and there are unprecedented connections between the two, and since these sumerian stories are from the cradle of civilization, they predate the bible by around 4000 years

@ideadesigns: dear guestcat: I'm aware of the "ice cave", there is a bit of information below the guest book about that particular "discovery". I respect your viewpoint. The link you had has freely given a viewpoint on their website... "Durupinar supporters also tend to not be seriously open to alternative views... ...people who seem to revere Ron Wyatt (especially naïve Seventh Day Adventists located in Tennessee, California, Australia, and northern Europe)..." -- Most who lean towards this being a discovery of biblical proportions, are not seventh day adventists, not that there is anything wrong with that, some not even christian. The alternative views (other ark sites), for some, don't have the evidence and people are free to google and find all these alternative "noah's ark discoveries". It's just something about this boat-shaped site that intrigues me and thousands of others. I've visited that link a few times, has a wide variety of research as well. I like to think this particular find is an out-of-the-box discovery...

anonymous 3 years ago

@anonymous: Do you not consider that the millions of insects, small animals and all the fish an amphibians would not need to be on the ark?living on flotsom, aerial insects, birds and mammals that live in the water would easily survive! think also that in Cortez conquest of mexico, he speaks of an ark story among the native peoples the other side of the Atlantic!!!! Why doubt ????what have you got to lose???? your only fear is fear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ideadesigns profile image

ideadesigns 3 years ago from Central USA Author

guestcat: "I dont think Ron Wyatt was the discoverer of the Ark. There's a site/online book where detailed expeditions listed and described how they searched for the ark. The ark has not been discovered during the 1980s. This Christian group of professionals fully examined the mountain tops of Ararat, not just thru by plane, but they continuously searched up the mountain, but they did not find the ark. This group has discovered that the boat shaped object is in fact an ice cave." [edited out promotional link]

anonymous 3 years ago

I believe there was a marine life fossil found on Ararat too located at thousands of feet above which is a real evidence of the great flood.

Woah, now that's what you call a comprehensive lens. So much interesting information on here. Thanks!

anonymous 4 years ago

Extremely weak "evidence" that depends on an equally extreme amount of credulity for one to believe it. It does not stand up to any scrutiny at all. For instance, only 16,000 animals on the ark? That does not even account for all of the beetles on Earth. There are millions of different species that have lived on Earth; 16,000 is not even a drop in the bucket.

@neoglitch17: For fitting animals on the Ark I have several links above, and just found this one: http://www.icr.org/article/speciation-animals-ark/... I'm not sure pokeballs existed back then! Do research with an open mind. I do believe that creation can talk if God allowed it to. Not sure about alicorn or unicorns though. Yes, He loves you more than you want to know. :)

neoglitch17 4 years ago

LOL, cool story bro... I'm sorry, but that's the kind of response that this lens deserves. Actually no, I'm not sorry.A rock formation in the shape of a boat proves nothing, just like the alleged "face" of Mars doesn't prove there is life in there. It's just a natural formation, that's all. Also, it is physically impossible that all the species of animals that exist in the world could fit in such small space... unless Noah used Pokeballs or something xD "How Could Noah Fit All the Animals on the Ark?" No. Not in a million years. If you believe this, then you know nothing about biology and are seriously deluded. Do your research. Also, you still need to prove that the rest of the fairy tales in the bible actually happened, like women turning into salt, talking snakes and donkeys, Gepetto living inside a whale and Yahweh/Jesus copy-pasting tuna sandwiches all around. Finally, let me tell you that Princess Celestia LOVES you with an everlasting Love. She is the Light of the World, the sun made alicorn, and she loves you more than anything in the world! You would know if you opened your heart to her mighty alicorn magic!

anonymous 4 years ago

@anonymous: Ever hear of the Petrified Forest???

anonymous 4 years ago

@anonymous: It first covered up by the volcano ash, then lava layer on the top. The wood may seems like stone due to petrification process, in here is call silicification, a process in which silica-rich fluids enter the plant's cells and crystallize, making the plant's cells appear to have turned to stone (petrified). A major portion of lava/magma is silica

anonymous 4 years ago

it looks like a weird rock formation to me. I'd have to go to Turkey and see this for myself. I find it very hard to believe that wood could be preserved by lava. lava is hot and it is made of molten rock. anything in it's path is destroyed. How could goffer wood take the heat and not burn up.

Better question, how did noah feed all the animals? Sure sheep and stuff could eat stockpiled food, but Carnivores would not. They would eat everything, including noah.

ideadesigns profile image

ideadesigns 4 years ago from Central USA Author

@anonymous: Yes the crosses had to have been done later, by believers in Yeshua (Jesus) and the story of Noah. The difficulty would be getting that kind of study/lab done in Turkey (and at the border of Iran). Wouldn't that be awesome evidence? (as if this evidence wasn't enough). :)

anonymous 4 years ago

@anonymous: You are correct...the reason it seems like comments are being censored is because they are. If you are not a Kool-Aid drinker like the rest of these people, your comments get deleted...

anonymous 4 years ago

I find it odd that there is a lack of skeptics commenting here. I'd expect more. I feel like the comments are being censored. I don't believe a scientist would make a graph dating the earth only 6,000 years old.

anonymous 4 years ago

These researches were done in the seventies, and although I am a believer in the story of the flood,I understand that there are still some controversies over the ark.Perhaps the anchor stones were used by Noah, however, the perfectlydrawn crosses on those stones could have been carved much later. They look too much like medieval crosses. I am not convinced that Noah carved these.I believe that more research needs to be done, using modern day technology,as the technology used in the 70s is now outdated.Perhaps this is the only thing that will put all controversies to rest...

anonymous 4 years ago

I would like to respond to DamoB. If the ark had been left in the open, it would have rotted and there would be no evidence. God does not work this way. God covered the ark in order to preserve the evidence so all can see. Look beyond the ark, at the stones that made the ark stable, their in the area. Then look at laminated wood that made the deck floors, we think we have information? How about the hot rivets that secured the metal plates and the beams together? Remember Tu'-bal-cain was an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron Gen 4-22. Go beyond the ark, to Sodom and Gomorrah, they are still there, only but they are ashes. How about mount Sinai, the charred top, the split rock, and much more. Then there is the red sea crossing, the artifacts like wheels bones and helmets. God has never done any thing without leaving the evidence, after all look at the life on this earth. We are made in his image.

@ideadesigns: Hello,I have very much enjoyed the work that you have done on this lens. It's beautiful, well-laid out and understandable. You have to be commended - the topic is a touchy one for some people. To note: in matters being argued about herein, I have this to say, and it isn't important if you don't use them, as everything is subjective. Since no one can provide "proof" in such important matters, then the method of finding an agreeable "Proof" is what is at fault. Truly, everyone's views are strictly a matter of faith in what "we" choose to believe to be the truth. Science is still a huge collection of what people choose to believe in: their methods, their agreed upon proofs, etc. In my little world, even science isn't a human creation - but rather one that comes from a higher source - God. To wit, I believe in creation, in God and in such stories as in Noah, and the flood - as world-wide, every culture talks about a world-wide flood that took place long ago, but I also find some fault in those who strictly believe, and choose to disagree with scientific evidence that disagrees with their belief systems. I believe in creation, but I find it hard to believe that it happened only 7,000 years ago. I have read the same sources "The Holy Bible", but I don't necessarily come to the same conclusion that others do. I believe that God's first day lasted billions of years. I also see that science has shown a timeline, where there is little sign of human dwellings before 12,500 years ago, and that the evidence shows that human society and land cultivation began about then, in the mountains of Anatolia (read: Ararat), just after the end of the ice age. Is this a sign that Noah began a new human civilization just after the great flood that was the culmination of the end of the last ice age? That is my theory. The Bible claims that there were two great "Rings of Water" that circled in the north and in the south, and I see that as an indication that they were talking about the two huge ice fields that covered the north and south poles, which mysteriously shank at the end of the ice age about 12,500 years ago - at about the same time that there was a nearby star that went supernova, and also - recently scientists have proven that our own sun went through a huge increase of sunspot activities - just as we've been experiencing over the last 30 years or so, just at the end of the great ice age. That to me is a smoking gun. My view of God, is one who created the universe long ago - perhaps billions of years ago, and who's own truth and voice, truly his own name set in motion the very laws of existence that we today call the laws of physics, etc. I see God as the creator of all that we see and think and believe, but our interpretations and methods are sometimes flawed. I believe that the dionosaurs lived millions of years ago, and the Bible claimed that in ancient times, God removed the giants of the Earth, because they'd had their time, and weren't very smart creatures, who couldn't grasp the glory of God - well, that's my interpretation. I don't see God as a magician, but as a great creator who set in motion all that we see today, and it is only our views of this great creation that need to be stretched and improved. Well, it is a touchy subject with everyone, I'm sure. Thanks again.

Having replied before, I would like to respond, in kindness to Godless Heathen. When in school, myself and one other person served detention for challenging evolution. Evolution to me made no sense. Reproduction for example, is said to have started with cells dividing, OK 2 divides to 4 etc, but what at some point changed, and there became male and female? The scripture stats male and female. Then, what would something want to be something else, eg why would a fish realize it would like it better out of the water, then it is faced with the problem of developing lungs and feet, and in a hurry. As I find fossils,I notice that, if evolution had taken place, the soil from the fossil to the surface of the ground would have to be black soil, it never is, it is always sub soil that has been moved. As you reason these things out you see how perfectly every thing fits together. This is the God I serve, and with pride. As you see the things that Ron has uncovered, you also begin to understand there is a master plan behind it, and that plan is salvation.

@anonymous: God gives you a promise, its up to you to make it happen. You were created in the image of God. That is the gift the Bible talks about. The Bible does not reveal every intricate detail, the use of anchors is common knowledge to boaters, is this something that God would have needed for someone to write down? I think there are people out there that do not believe in God but know how to float a boat. The dimensions yes they are important, to prove that what is being explained is possible, especially if found thousands of years later, but the use of an anchor? I don't think God needed to explain that.

To me Ron Wyatt's discoveries are the best things that have ever happened, next to being able to comment on these things. Having written before, I feel compelled to add a few more of my discoveries. Concerning the rain, on the second day of creation the scripture states that the waters were separated from the waters, and the waters that was sent into the atmosphere, was called the heavens, in my own words the outer atmosphere was a layer of water. This layer would have made the temperature of the earth perfect from pole to pole, approx 70 degrees. This layer would have prevented harmful rays from the sun reaching the earth, which also could make a difference in carbon dating. When the rain started I also think the axis of the earth was changed from 2 or 3 degrees to 21 degrees which gives us some severe weather. When this layer of water dissappeared, the harmfull rays from the sun hits us, and I think this is why we don't live as long. Also, as I find fossils, I find lots of different kinds of animals, wood, and a lot of times parts of animals mixed together in 1 small area. I also think, in reading in Gen: ch 6 that there were giants in the land, I think that these people had discovered genetic engenering an it got away from them. God had to destroy the things that he did not plant, Matthew ch 15.I could write a book, on this stuff so I must stop for now.

jimmyworldstar 4 years ago

I've heard many people say it's on top of Mt Ararat in Turkey but that the government is not allowing anyone up there. If it was true, it'd be very interesting.

thomanna 4 years ago

@anonymous: I can't think of the scripture address right off hand, but I love the Apostle Paul's commentary on belief in God. "You believe in God you do well. The Devil also believes and trembles." We have to remember that while belief in God is good, the power lies in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ. As far as the Bible is concerned, I always tell people it was not written to be a science book. That being said, it's also never been proven wrong. If a biblical, archeological discovery is found we have to remember that it is not the discovery that proves the Bible, but rather the Bible that proves the discovery.

thomanna 4 years ago

I love the Bible and I love archeology. Do I think this is really Noah's Ark? I don't know. I know if I were Noah I would have salvaged as much as possible from the Ark for building materials, firewood ect. But then again, who knows? This is extremely interesting none the less. Great Lens!

anonymous 4 years ago

It becomes very interesting how most people can't understand how the ark would end up on a mountain. The truth of the matter is the mountain was not there until day 41 of the sequence of the events of the flood. After the rain stopped, God moved the land inland of every continent . The area of Ararat is a circle of mountains, when moved the land, contained the ark in a smaller area. Genesis ch. 8 states, in 150 days the flood waters ran off. Now if the flood waters covered the whole earth 15 cubits above the highest point, where would the water run to? The proof of this is, all the soil is in layers, which can only happen when you have, soil, water, and movement. The moving of the earth happened twice in the world's history. One on the third day of creation, second to dry up the flood. When this happened all the vegatation was buried, giving us coal, oil, and fossils. Notice the layers in the mountains, they are from the third day of creation, where the soil in banks of Grand Canyon, which was cut in 150 days, is all in layers. The layers do not fit in to evolution, but become a perfect illustration of the power of God.

@anonymous: the anchors cause drag so when wind blows it pushes the boat< but the end with anchors is slowed so the other end always faces the direction it is traveling. it wasn't lack of faith in god it was smart to keep it from swaying as much in choppy waters too.

I've been searching about that Ark and i was really eager to see the artifacts about the ark,i believe that it really exist, but why do we have to see those things first to prove that what the bible tells us are true, the ark was a man made, but what about the planets, the stars outside the universe that we can see that God was created from the beginning? is it still not giving us the proof that God is existing?what else proof that we want to see?are we going to wait until the day comes that the fire came from heaven to destroy us before we believe that God is real?

anonymous 4 years ago

I'm a Christian, believe in the flood, but I do not believe this is the Ark. God had given Noah His promise that Noah, his wife, his sons and their wives, and the animals would survive to re-populate the Earth. Why would he then need anchors? God gave His promise, He was always in control. In the Bible, it says God gave Noah specific instructions on how to make the Ark. Wouldn't He has also given specific instruction on how to make the anchors? Nowhere in the scriptures does it say that one day God told Noah to throw down the anchors. God was the Anchor.

anonymous 4 years ago

@anonymous: According to some hypothesis on earth which says that the land was in one piece called Pangea and later divided into pieces of present day continents. A tweaked version of this I have read somewhere is, land was in one piece(Pangea) but due to the great floods (up from sky and also from land) during Noah's time, it broke into pieces, floated on the great waters, collided with each other and stood still for the present day continents. He attributed this as a reason for why the continents have mountain ranges along their coastal regions which is post flood. The Himalayas which were formed according to the above hypothesis is a result of India which is not a part of Eurasia but of Africa collided with Eurasia to form the present day Himalayas which stand high on the earth.

@anonymous: Good thought there. I can give one example, according to arkdiscovery.com, "Mount Ararat is 17,000 feet tall, and is a post-Flood volcanic mountain that gained its height after the Flood, therefore there is no reason to assume it is a more likely candidate for the resting place of the ark, instead it is a less likely candidate." -- Some notes here http://www.kjvbible.org/geysers.html talks about Mt Everest's height. Or maybe even http://www.creationdefense.org/69.htm. Also "The mountains rose; the valleys sank down to the place which You established for them." Psalm 104:8.

This is fabulous! I actually saw all this evidence on the Creation Institute videos by Dr. Dino. Great stuff. I believe!

anonymous 5 years ago

The Flood would have to of been 5 miles deep (Everest's height 5,000 years ago). If the ark had been floating at that altitude, the temperature would have been around -50C. Noah and the animals would have frozen to death. All the vegetation in the world would have been submerged under miles of water, cut off from light, oxygen and carbon dioxide, so it would all have died and the carbon cycle would have been disrupted and the production of oxygen ceased, suffocating those left on the ark.

@anonymous: Sorry Mark, it's been a while since that post, but at the time I did not have time to comment. It was way too long to put on a page that is already taking forever to load. Besides that, this is not a debate lens, although I've allowed a few doubting comments (when done nicely). It's undeniable the evidence God has laid out for us. It doesn't hurt to question, but seek God with real honesty in your heart, what's it gonna hurt. He loves us while we are sinners. Receive Him, Receive true peace, love and help. May God bless you financially this year, let the favor of God be upon you. The Lord is mighty to save all and fill us with His love. :)

@anonymous: God has manifested himself to me many times. Jesus revealed himself to me when I was 12 years old. growing up in a jewish family never hearing the name jesus, not knowing anything about christianity, yet in my dream seeing a man in a blazing white robe, with 3 dimensional capital letters behind him spelling out JESUS CHRIST, and in many other ways besides that. besides that where did DNA come from. It is the most complex code ever discovered in our blood. why is there the perfect concentration of gases that make up our atmosphere that all air breathing life forms need to breath to live. why is the earth the perfect distance away from the sun to support life. there are miliions of mechanisms going on right now outside of our thoughts that make life possible. in your body are tiny cells. they are complex machines sustaining your life. and of course the evidence that charles darwin stated would be in the fossil record, namely the transional forms that he stated would prove his theory. yet inspite of our digging up the earth with machines that were not around in darwins day we have not found a single fosilized transional form. the evidence for GOD is staggering. Pray a simple prayer. Ask God, if you are there can you please show me. If jesus is the only way to salvation show me. anyway. Take care me friend. I pray the lord will reveal his Staggering LOve and care and provision for you. receive his gift of eternal life, and lordship and direction in this life. Jesus said " i am the way, the truth and life" He died to pay for all of your sin so you can receive his forgiveness and eternal life" the scriptures state " there is no other name given under heaven by which men must be saved but the name of jesus" He is God born in the flesh. " all who call upon the name of the lord will be save"

@anonymous: one of the anchor stones had 8 crosses on it. They were to represent 1, Noah, 2, His Wife, and 3-8, His 3 sons and their wives. it might as well be the same for the rest of the anchor stones, if it was, some crosses just might have just disappeared through erosion. i can't think of any other reason for the crosses as of that time period other than representation

anonymous 6 years ago

@anonymous: All I'd like to ad to this is shortimer is, God can do anything, because as some of these believers have pointed out some facts, the earth was different back when the flood happened. Unless your a geologist, meteorologist or even seismologist, you don't know what your talking about and for the record, the highest peak you may be referring to sounds like Mt Everest which is not 29,900 ft but in fact, 29,028 0r 29,028 depending on where you look. As for this verifiable proof you speak of that there is a God, where is yours that says there's not? Scientist can't really disprove anything to say the flood didn't happen, let alone some of the earth's mysteries that still go on all around us. I pray that you would open your heart and let God in so you may see the many wonders he created in this world. I'll pray for you, that you may come to know and understand that his word is true.

@anonymous: With God, anything is possible. There is evidence to prove it just like what is seen above, i don't know how that can be argued with. The measurements even match up, that would be some coincidence if it is not the ark.

JordanR 6 years ago

@anonymous: I agree Ethan! The crosses to the left represent the female (i think, may be opposite) family members and the crosses to the right represent the male members of the family. The cross in the middle represents Noah, most likely put there by noah.

@anonymous: These amazing carvings are Byzantine and Crusader style. They were probably carved by early Christians who associated these stones with Noah's ark and the eight survivors. These carvings could have been done sometime after the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ. But the tower of babel carving is amazing too. I made a link to more info on this above in "Links"

anonymous 6 years ago

@anonymous: I'm not sure but i think i heard from someone that they used crosses to represent the people on the boat. So no i don't think the stones were tampered with, just put there by Noah and his family.

camoguard 6 years ago

@anonymous: Okay. Now let's look for evidence of a global flood of 4000 feet back when land masses were all connected. And let's double check that humans were around then.

anonymous 6 years ago

@anonymous: dude this one is an easy answer, don't know why no one else has answered it right. First of all you make an assumption that the earth looked like what it does now before the Flood. That is incorrect, the continents were still "joined" and most mountains hadn't been formed or were not what they are now. The flood is what created the large mountain chains and valleys we see today. So it wouldn't have to rain 30000ft worth of water to cover the highest point it might have been only 4 thousand. Secondly if you read the Bible you would see it said the fountains of the deep opened up. Under the earth were and still are to some extent large reservoirs of water. Since the land was for the most part one mass, it began to separate when these large reservoirs opened. Hope that helps a little.

camoguard 6 years ago

@jennysue19: I agree with you Jenny. These findings are disputed by ordinary archeologists. http://video.foxnews.com/v/4171840/wheres-the-actu...

wow! Amazing lens..lots of evidence. Looks like you put a lot of work into this one & I enjoyed reading it through!

gerardhaughey 6 years ago

@anonymous: I would say you're looking too "deeply" (npi) into this- Look God Created it All! The Bible is specifically written how God chose it to be and spoke throught the prophets.. now keep in mind. God knows our nature! We are contrary and disbelievers and selfish.. all these things were considered by Him when He sent his only begotten Son Jesus to earth- and all the Apostles were chosen and as fishermen they were obviously granted the highest abilities to write and record Jesus' Words and Works- All the Works of Jesus right up to his Crucifixion were all part of a never ending story- The floods and Old Testament are written in such a way to contrast with the New Testament for the reason of saying to ourself "I will follow the New Testament" knowing full well also that the Old Testament is there also- The heights of water and the science behind all God's Words are not important- God could wipe a planet simply by withdrawing Souls from bodies leaving lifeless flesh behind all in a second of time- And then have a story written about floods to be part of His Word. It has to be come to inside the heart that God is far more capable of doing things- He however is a Master at steadfastness He never shows off.. He is constant as the sun and moon and stars- Still he can be a million category Hurricane if he chooses- Think of the word "Glorious" that's what He is.

gerardhaughey 6 years ago

@anonymous: lol I know it's weird how some people don't get it- Science is an art of God- just some men think hey look what I found out about life- I'm a genius! No, God let you see it- lol He wants you to go and tell everyone about it! haha and man's pride takes over and the man writes a book about his amazing abilities.. lol it really is funny. I bet God Himself can't believe it sometimes- I Love God so very much!:)

anonymous 6 years ago

This is wonderfully presented and true. Well done and God belss you.

anonymous 6 years ago

I have to say that my faith is so very strong because of science, not despite it! I have studied the bible in depth and can see a great truth. My other interest is quantum physics. Now I can hear some people saying, "God/ Physics???!!!, never the twain" but how wrong they are. The further one delves into quanta and the implications they pose, the more there Has to be a guiding hand. I will spare the particular well respected physicist his blushes, but when I quizzed him about certain experiments he had performed, he said " a great deal of faith if required in this area of science. Within 50 years from now science and religion will be indistinguishable"!!!! I read a very interesting book by mathematician Frank Tippler on the physics of immortality. He proposed that there has to be a God, an afterlife and an immortal soul. For the sceptics he backs it all up with the maths to prove it. We cannot pick and choose what we believe to be true or untrue in the Holy Bible. We believe it as written, all of it, or we believe none of it! Sects and cod religions take what they need, out of context and twist the truth to their own agenda. If an example is needed look at all wars, all oppression and subjugation of man. All pounded in someone's misinterpretation of the truth of the bible, or their holy book. I for one read it as it is written and believe what is there on face value. The author Lew Wallis set out to disprove the Jericho story, proved to his utter surprise that it could and most probably did happen then upon being so moved from his sceptical opinions wrote Ben Hurr!! I love that the Ark has been discovered, I just wish that I could be more protected and a full on excavation be done. How funny would it be to find the ships log!!

anonymous 6 years ago

@anonymous: Well I guess Jacob have answered your question about the flood but he didn't answer about the proof for the existence of God. Two words: Big bang. Scientists(with functional brains) believes that the world was created by the big bang. Whether it is an explosion or something else, one thing is for certain, that even scientists can't deny: there must be a cause to this explosion. Just ask yourself. If you were having your lunch time with your friends and suddenly BANG!!. There was an explosion. What is the most logical question that you(or anyone) will ask? Of course the question will be: What caused it? You ask that question for a small bang(in comparison) wouldn't it be logical to ask the same exact question for a big bang. Even scientist can't deny the fact that since there is a beginning there must be someone or something that created this universe and that can only be a God. Which God is the correct one? Well it depends on the person and their faith.P.S. Please for anyone that read this reply, don't tell me that the big bang was created by itself because that would be ridiculous and you'll be embarrassing yourself. Reason: my coffee doesn't make itself(although I would like that).P.S.S For those Christians that says the universe was not started with the big bang: I don't care. I don't care what methods or techniques God used to create the universe. I don't care whether God waved his left arm or his right arm when he created the world. The main point of this reply is to show that there is a beginning and that creation is inevitable. Honestly, if God wanted, he could create the world in 7 minutes with just the thought of it, so don't come to me with 'Actually, in the beginning...'

anonymous 6 years ago

@anonymous: superb calculation mr.short timer but remember the true god can do any thing beyond science. that is y still the universe survining

anonymous 6 years ago

@anonymous: There is stricly no verifible evidence of the lord god but is by faith that us believers know there is one, nothing happens by chance or luck its all for a reason and a purpose, some things you can't explain and never will be explained its just the nature of things. An example of this is above, first how did a ship or ark that size get so far inland and high above see level, there is no evidence except for the bible. The meaning of the flood and how you say it would have to be at least 30,000 feet above see level is something you would not be able to explain. Us, as you called us believers, see this and know this, that god could only have done those things and its not a meaning of understanding why or how but believing that he did that. So i hope one day that you will understand that and for you thinking this is a fairy tale i pray for you and that one day you may come to know christ and you will one day know how awesome he is! shortimer i'm praying for you.

anonymous 6 years ago

I have some questions for all of you believers. First assuming that the Old Testament version is correct and that all of the mountains were flooded by 40 days of rain, can anyone imagine how many inches of rain fell every hour. (Tallest peak on earth= 29,900 feet tall) 40 days X 24 hours= 960 hours . So for the earth to be inundated to 29,900 feet would require over 31 feet of rain per hour. Does anyone on earth with a functional brain think that is even remotely possible? If you think it is possible, since we know water seeks it's own level, so that resulting flood would have to be about 30,000 feet higher than the existing ocean level, where did all of the water go after the flood? Next, since we know the existing continents all existed during the proposed time for the great flood and Noah according to the bible was in the Mediterranean Sea area, how did the animals now found in No. America, So. America, Australia, and any islands that Noah could not reach get saved from the inundation? All I can say to you believers is: What a Fairy Tale!!! By the way; what verifiable evidence do you have for a God?

anonymous 6 years ago

i just dong get it. why do yet still people do not believe when there is so much evidence? i mean there are just so much evidence about GOD being real and yet we humans do not want to believe it! i just wish my friends would believe me...

I find it fantastic that little by little archeologists and other scientists are uncovering things that are mentioned in detail in the Bible, which they had previously debunked as lies and nonexistent (for instance, the existence of the Hittites, the existence of lions in Iran/Iraq Mesopotamia area, the fact that people played 12-stringed harps as David did, and many others). I hope this is really the ship Noah built because it will give us an even greater picture of things! Praise God! If it's His will that it be found, it will be found. He has given the Holy Spirit to our hearts, the word of the Gospel to our ears and now evidence to our eyes. I am very ashamed in whoever will not accept God at this point.God Bless me, I may be yet just a small child in the womb of the world but I know if i have God i have all the knowledge on my lips.God bless all,

This is a wonderful lens. I am working on my first. I hope I learn how to put things on it and make it one to draw the lost to it and others I want to make. I enjoyed this very much. Thank you. Be blessed.

wow what a great lens! I have followed many reportings on Noahs Ark for many years...I love to see all the programs and books about these types of discoveries...those that choose not to believe cause they need proof of everything... including the exsitence of God, they just have to make a choice...besides if we knew it all, there would be no need for God....5*

This was very interesting, I had no idea that Noah's ark had been found. It's also a beautifully constructed lens.

Christian Apologetics sure is an interesting subject. I am sure that I should know more about Christian Apologetics than I do because there are sure a lot of people who seem to know quite a bit, however I have yet to begin to understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ; I have yet to reach the foothills of that Mt. Everest. The Bible says that the Gospel "is the power of God unto salvation." Let us therefore preach the Gospel that souls may be saved, and not fool around wasting all of our energy trying to figure out every detail of Christian Apologetics.Link to my page. I have written a lens detailing the Gospel, and calling for salvation. Who cares if someone understands Christian Apologetics if they end up in Hell?http://www.squidoo.com/The-Gospel-of-Jesus-Christ/

To the comment: "Unfortunately, this whole thing is bogus." one of the original members needed "further exploration and analysis of the landform" - Yes I believe more analysis should be done. If I didn't believe this is Noah's Ark, it wouldn't have become a lens. To me the evidence is undeniable, this is the tip of the iceberg, God Bless. Dig further into Ron Wyatt's discoveries.

I would love to see this, prove to Everyone God doesn't lie. I think if there is evidence that will help prove God's truth then it needs to be lead into the light for all the world to see, Maybe we would have a lot more GOD FEARING people. Maybe it would change the ideas of evolution and carbon dating, Who knows,
