Updated on May 18, 2013
Source

From now on, I will be posting TV Ratings, Renewal and Cancellation updates and Reviews on my own website.

This hub discusses the ratings, renewals and cancellations of ABC's TV shows. It starts with a list of the cancellations, pick-ups and premiere dates. New shows usually begin with 13 episodes and if ratings go well, they are prolonged to a full season. Older series already have a full season and ratings of 2013 will determine if shows get cancelled or renewed.

Next, there is a graph of the A18-49 ratings of the individually discussed ABC shows below. Do these shows have a future or not?

Let me know what you think of the shows in the comments section below. Do you already have favorites or shows you hate?

Scandal (Renewed)

(05/11): 'Scandal' was renewed for a third season today.

(05/10): A new series high for 'Scandal' this week, scoring a 3.2 in adults 18-49 and a total of 8.89 million viewers.

(05/03): 'Scandal' dropped back to a rating of 2.6 in the all important demo, a total of 8.07 million people tuned in.

(04/26): Ratings for'Scandal' went up this week, scoring a series high 2.8 in adults 18-49. Total viewers was 7.90 million.

(04/05): Steady at a 2.6 in adults 18-49, 'Scandal' is still going strong. 8.04 million people tuned in, and the show is of course still a Certain Renewal.

(03/29): A rating of 2.6 in the 18-49 demo for 'Scandal' this week. The number of total viewers was 7.97 million.

(03/22): After a break of a month 'Scandal' is back with yet another 2.7 in the all important demo. A total of 8.51 million people tuned in.

(02/22): Another steady rating for 'Scandal', scoring yet again a 2.7 rating. 7.68 million people tuned in to watch.

(02/15): A steady 2.7 rating for 'Scandal' this week, with a slightly dropped total viewer count of 8.02 million.

(02/08): Matching its series high with another 2.8 last night, 'Scandal' is now certain to be renewed. 8.14 million people tuned in to this week's episode.

(02/01): With a 2.7 in the all important demographic this week, 'Scandal' almost matched its series high from two episodes ago. 8.09 million people tuned in.

(01/18): 'Scandal' manages to keep surprising in the ratings, even though it scores a little lower than last week. To be exact, it got a 2.6 in the adults 18-49 demo and the episode was watched by 7.93 million people.

(01/11): Last night 'Scandal' broke its season and series high by three tenths. The episode got a rating of 2.8 in the adults 18-49 demo and 8.37 million people tuned in. This is obviously a very good start of the year for 'Scandal'.

The second season of 'Scandal' started with a 13 episode order. The first six of them got steady ratings around 2.0, which prompted ABC to award the show a full second season of 22 episodes. In the following episodes, the last three before Christmas, 'Scandal' went up in the ratings to around 2.5. If it manages to keep this up, it will definitely be renewed.

Family Tools (Likely Cancellation)

(05/11): After airing just two episodes, 'Family Tools' was cancelled by ABC.

(05/09): The second episode of 'Family Tools' got a rating of 1.1 in the adults 18-49 demo, that's four tenths lower than last week. In total 4.43 million people tuned in. Ratings like this probably aren't going to cut it, this show is likely to be cancelled.

(05/02): This week ABC's newest series 'Family Tools' premiered. The first season, which is scheduled for 10 episodes, started with a mild rating of 1.5 in adults 18-49. In fact, this rating is the lowest ever for an ABC comedy series premiere. 5.79 million people tuned in to watch the series premiere.

How To Live With You Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life) (Cancelled)

(05/11): ABC cancelled 'How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life)' after airing just 6 episodes.

(05/07): 'How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life)' got a rating of 2.0 in the all important demo. In total 5.99 million people tuned in.

(05/02): Now that the 'Modern Family' lead in is back, 'How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life)' skyrocketed up again, scoring a rating of 2.1 in adults 18-49. That is a difference of 0.6 in just one week. Total viewers was 6.2 million.

(04/25): 'How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life)' drops again, losing a fourth of its ratings. Last night's episode scored a rating of 1.5, and total viewers dropped to 4.81 million. In just four episodes 'How To Live With You Parents' has lost almost half of its viewers, and its ratings are down to 50% of what it started with.

(04/18): A steep drop for 'How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life)', with this week's episode receiving a rating of 2.0 in the 18-49 demographic and a total of 6.06 million viewers. Even though this is quite a substantial drop, it is still a decent rating in comparison with other shows on ABC.

(04/11): The second episode of 'How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life)' dropped in the ratings, but this is to be expected since a premiere episode almost always scores higher than the following episodes. Still, 'HTLWYP' managed to score a rating of 2.5 in adults 18-49, which is pretty impressive. Total viewer count for this week's episode was 7.33 million.

(04/04): The premiere of 'How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life)' got very good ratings. It scored higher than 'Suburgatory' did in the same timeslot, with a rating of 2.9 in adults 18-49, and a total of 8.44 million viewers. General expectations about this show were quite low, but the ratings seem to indicate otherwise. It matched the premiere ratings of 'Don't Trust The B--- In Apartment 23' which aired in the same timeslot, and that show was a success, albeit not for very long.

Nashville (Renewed)

(05/11): ABC decided to renew 'Nashville' for a second season.

(05/07): Another drop for 'Nashville', this week's rating is a 1.6 in the all important demo, while 5.42 million people tuned in.

(05/02): 'Nashville' dropped down to a rating of 1.7 in the 18-49 demographic, and a total of 5.27 million viewers.

(04/11): Yet another rise for 'Nashville', with this week's episode getting a rating of 1.8 in adults 18-49. 5.96 million viewers tuned in to watch.

(04/04): 'Nashville' went up two tenths this week, scoring a 1.7 in the 18-49 demographic and a total of 5.54 million viewers.

(03/28): 'Nashville' returned with a 1.5 in the demo and 5.18 million people tuned in.

(03/01): Another drop for 'Nashville', this week it got a rating of 1.6 in the all important demo, and a total of 5.20 million viewers.

(02/14): 'Nashville' inches up to a 1.8 in the coveted demographic. Total viewers reached 5.74 million this time.

(02/07): Yet another drop for 'Nashville' this week. The rating of 1.7 in adults 18-49 is a series low, as is the viewer count of 5.30 million. It seems the competition of 'Chicago Fire' and 'CSI' are proving to be too much for 'Nashville'.

(01/24): A painful drop in the ratings for 'Nashville'. This week's rating is down 0.3 in comparison with last week. The rating of 1.9 in the 18-49 demo is almost a series low rating, a remarkable score after last week's rating. The total amount of viewers dropped quite significantly as well, with 5.51 million viewers tuning in.

(01/17): With no competition from 'Chicago Fire' this week (NBC was in repeats), 'Nashville' ticks up a tenth in the adults 18-49 demographic to a 2.2 rating. Total viewers went up to 6.54 million. But for the premiere's ratings, these are season highs for 'Nashville'

(01/10): 'Nashville' returned from the winter break even at a 2.1 in the all-important demo, with NBC's 'Chicago Fire' now beating it head to head with a 2.2. The number of total viewers for 'Nashville' was 5.92 million this week.

'Nashville' premiered with a rating of 2.8 in the adults 18-49 demo and 8.93 people tuned in. For the second episode, the ratings however dropped to a 2.0 and the show never recovered. Six episodes into the season, ABC announced that it ordered a full season for the show.

The ratings of the show were good enough for a full season pick-up, but its uncertain if it will be enough to be renewed for a second season. The show pulls a steady audience, but the ratings aren't particularly high.

Red Widow (Cancelled)

(05/11): By far the least interesting news of today: ABC announced the cancellation of 'Red Widow'.

(05/06): 'Red Widow's season finale (and let's face it, series finale) went up one tenth to a still abysmal 0.8 in adults 18-49. Total viewers was at 3.41 million. There is no way this show will survive.

(04/29): After a short hiatus it seems people have forgotten about 'Red Widow': it scored a rating of 0.7 in adults 18-49. Down three-tenths from last week, making it a certain cancellation.

(04/01): Once again, a series low rating of 1.0 for 'Red Widow', and a total of 4.08 million viewers. It seems all hope is lost for this series.

(03/25): This week's episode of 'Red Widow' got a 1.2 in the all important demo, which is two tenths higher (yes you read that correctly!) than last week. This show is far from being renewed, but who knows, maybe, by some miracle, this show will get a decent audience.

(03/18): Another drop for 'Red Widow', scoring a rating of 1.0 in adults 18-49. 4.36 million people tuned in to watch the series, which is now very likely to be cancelled.

(03/11): A drop in the ratings for the second episode of 'Red Widow'. With a rating of 1.1 in the 18-49 demo and a total of 5.31 million viewers 'Red Widow' is still a Likely Cancellation. Will it be cancelled after next week's episode, just like 'Zero Hour' was?

(03/04): 'Red Widow's two-hour premiere matched 'Zero Hour's premiere in the adults 18-49 demographic with a 1.5. Remember that 'Zero Hour's premiere got ABC's lowest scripted in-season premiere ratings ever, and was cancelled after just 3 episodes. Total viewers was 7.1 million, almost a million more than the first episode of 'Zero Hour' got. 'Red Widow' premiered 33% lower than the timeslot's previous occupants, the canceled '666 Park Avenue' and 'GCB'. It seems logical, therefore, to start 'Red Widow' off as a Likely Cancellation.

Source

Revenge (Renewed)

(05/11): 'Revenge' was renewed for a third season today.

(05/06): Still rising, 'Revenge' scored a 1.8 in the all-important demographic. 6.28 million people tuned in. The show is therefore still likely to be renewed.

(04/29): 'Revenge' is on the rise again, scoring a rating of 1.7 in adults 18-49 and a total viewer count of 6.05 million.

(04/01): A drop of three tenths in the ratings for 'Revenge' this week. It scored a rating of 1.5 in the 18-49 demographic, and a total viewer count of 5.49 million. Ratings may be down due to Easter, so for now this lower rating doesn't influence 'Revenge's status of 'Likely Renewal'.

(03/25): 'Revenge' has steady ratings. This week's episode got a 1.8 in adults 18-49 with 6.31 million viewers. The exact same rating as last week.

(03/18): Dropping back to its ratings of mid-February, 'Revenge' scored a 1.8 in adults 18-49. 6.57 million people tuned in to watch.

(03/11): A rise in the ratings for 'Revenge' this week, scoring a rating of 2.0 in the 18-49 demo. The total viewer count was 6.96, and 'Revenge' remains a solid Likely Renewal.

(02/18): Rebounding after the Grammys, 'Revenge' added four tenths, to a 1.8 in the all-important demographic. Total viewers was just shy of 6 million.

(02/11): A big drop for 'Revenge', hitting a series low rating of 1.4 in the 18-49 demographic. With a total of 5.20 million viewers, 'Revenge' definitely lost from the airing of the 2013 edition of the Grammy Awards.

(01/21): Opposite the NFL playoff's game, 'Revenge' dropped to a series low 1.7 in adults 18-49. Total viewers went down to 5.75 million. Since the NFL game drew 41 million viewers, this series low for 'Revenge' is absolutely no reason for concern (and could even be considered decent).

(01/14): This week's episode of 'Revenge' lost four tenths versus last week, to a 2.0 in adults 18-49. Total viewers dropped to 6.17 million, and both are series lows. However on ABC, a series low of 2.0 in the demo is very decent and as long as it doesn't drop any further, I see no need to downgrade 'Revenge' to Toss Up.

(01/07): 'Revenge' entered the new year with a steady rating of 2.4 in the 18-49 demographic, and with a total viewer count of 7.12 million people.

'Revenge' started its second season with a rating of 3.2 in the all important demo and 9.74 million people watching. The show's first season premiered with a rating of one tenth lower. Starting then, the ratings have gotten a little lower, averaging at 2.6 in adults 18-49. The last two episodes, however, have suddenly dropped in the ratings to a 2.2 and a 2.4.

Still, 'Revenge' is one of the highest rating drama series on ABC and therefore likely to be renewed. Of course, everything will change if that final drop will turn out to be a trend.

Once Upon a Time (Renewed)

(05/11): As expected, 'Once Upon A Time' was renewed for a third season. Additionally, ABC announced the pick-up of a Wonderland-centered spin-off called 'Once Upon A Time In Wonderland'.

(05/06): 'Once Upon A Time' went back up to a 2.2 in adults 18-49 this week, with 7.5 million viewers in total. As one of the higher-rated dramas on ABC, the show is certain to be renewed.

(04/29): A slightly lower rating for 'Once Upon A Time' this week: it scored a rating of 2.0 in adults 18-49. The total viewer count was 7.16 million.

(04/22): Returning from a short hiatus, 'Once Upon A Time' held up good with a 2.1 in adults 18-49 and 7.37 million viewers. With these kinds of ratings, it is still certain to be renewed.

(03/25): Last night's episode of 'Once Upon A Time' had a rating of 2.2 in the all important demo and 7.38 million people tuned in.

(03/18): Another steady rating for 'Once Upon A Time', scoring a 2.3 in the 18-49 demo. A total of 7.45 million people watched last night's episode.

(03/11): A steady rating of 2.3 for 'Once Upon A Time' this week. 7.64 million people tuned in to watch this week's episode.

(03/04): After another week of absence, 'Once Upon A Time' dropped to a series low 2.2 in adults 18-49. Total viewers dipped to 7.39 million. There is no reason to worry yet, but the show shouldn't drop a lot further to stay relatively sure of a renewal.

(02/18): 'Once Upon A Time' inches up this week, to a 2.4 in adults 18-49. Total viewers went up to 7.6 million.

(02/11): After a two-week hiatus, 'Once Upon A Time' is back with a dropped rating of 2.2 in the adults 18-49 demographic, and a total viewer count of 7.08 million. Opposite the Grammy Awards, 'Once Upon A Time' stood no chance.

(01/21): This week, 'Once Upon A Time' dove 3 tenths below it's previous series low with a 2.4 in the all important demographic. Total viewers were down to 7.68 million this week. However, bear in mind that the episode aired opposite the NFL playoff game that rated a 14.6 and got 41 million viewers.

(01/14): Opposite the Golden Globes, 'Once Upon A Time' dropped three tenths this week, to a 2.8 in the all-important demographic. This is just above the show's very high series low of 2.7. The number of total viewers this week was 8.24 million.

(01/07): As one of the more successful ABC series, 'Once Upon A Time' has once again pulled in a rating of 3.1 in the 18-49 demographic. Not one of its highest ratings, but still a solid number. The total amount of viewers was 9.10 million.

'Once Upon A Time' has continued being one of ABC's highest rating shows, easily winning its timeslot week after week (excluding NBC's 'Sunday Night Football'). Over the 9 episodes that were aired before Christmas, 'Once Upon A Time' rated an average 3.3 in adults 18-49 and 9.7 million viewers. Needless to say, a third season for this show is almost certainly coming.

Suburgatory (Renewed)

(05/11): 'Suburgatory' was renewed for a third season today.

(04/18): A double episode of 'Suburgatory' this week, of which the second one was the season finale. The first episode got a 18-49 demo rating of 1.5, and 5.33 million viewers. The season finale received a rating of 1.7, and 5.45 million viewers. Even though ratings have been dropping the last few weeks, 'Suburgatory' is one of the higher scoring comedies on ABC and is therefore now upgraded to a Likely Renewal.

(04/11): 'Suburgatory' is steady at a 1.8 in adults 18-49 and getting a total viewer count of 5.6 million.

(04/04): 'Suburgatory' switched timeslots this week, giving away its place to 'How To Live With Your Parents'. However, it had no notable effect on the ratings, or not yet anyway. It scored a rating of 1.8 in the 18-49 demographic, and a total of 5.83 million viewers.

(03/28): Now that 'Modern Family' is back as a lead-in, 'Suburgatory' adds four tenths to a 1.9 in adults 18-49. Total viewers was up to 5.18 million.

(03/21): Another drop for 'Suburgatory', which got a series low rating of 1.5. 4.19 million viewers tuned in to watch. By dropping 0.7 in the ratings in two episodes, 'Suburgatory' loses its Likely Renewal status and is put back to a Toss Up.

(03/07): A steep drop for 'Suburgatory' this week. Its rating drops 0.5 points in the 18-49 demographic, to a 1.7. Total viewers was 4.60 million.

(03/01): 'Suburgatory' gained another two tenths bringing the rating of this week's episode to a 2.2 in the all important demo. 6.12 million people watched the episode.

(02/21): This week's 'Suburgatory' dropped one tenth in the ratings, scoring a 2.0 in the 18-49 demographic. 5.74 million people tuned in to watch.

(02/14): Completely recovered from the season low two weeks ago, 'Suburgatory' rated a 2.1 in adults 18-49, with 5.91 million viewers.

(02/07): 'Suburgatory' seems to be on the rise again, scoring a rating of 2.0 in the 18-49 demo. Total viewers was 5.73 million. The question is; will the rise in numbers stay or will it drop again next week?

(01/31): The last couple of episode the ratings of 'Suburgatory' showed a steady decline. This week's episode was no difference, the rating dropped 0.4 in the all important demographic compared to last week. The final score of this episode is a rating of 1.8 and 4.73 million viewers.

(01/24): A steady rating for 'Suburgatory', scoring 2.2 rating in the 18-49 demo. Total viewers went up slightly, to 6.09 million.

(01/17): 'Suburgatory' drops two tenths to a 2.3 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic. This is still very decent for an ABC comedy, though not spectacular considering it has the 'Modern Family' lead-in. 6.06 million people tuned in.

(01/10): In it's first post-holiday episode, 'Suburgatory' saw a sharp increase in ratings. It got a 2.6 in adults 18-49 and 6.84 million viewers. With these kinds of ratings, the show is not going anywhere anytime soon.

'Suburgatory's second season premiered with a 2.8 in adults 18-49 and 7.5 million viewers. Over the course of two months, it slowly dropped in the ratings, and the midseason finale had a 2.2 in the adults 18-49 demographic, with just over 6 million people watching. Having aired just seven episodes, 'Suburgatory' still has fifteen episodes left to prove that it is worthy of a third season.

The Neighbors (Renewed)

(05/11): ABC gave 'The Neighbors' a second season.

(03/28): The season finale of 'The Neighbors' added one tenth in the demo, finishing it's first season with a 1.5 in adults 18-49. 5.52 million people tuned in. The show remains a Toss Up with these ratings. What do you think? Will 'The Neighbors' be renewed?

(03/21): Steady ratings of 1.4 for 'The Neighbors' this week. 4.76 million people watched, slightly less than last week.

(03/14): It was a bad night for 'The Neighbors' last night, dropping three tenths to a rating of 1.4 in adults 18-49. Total viewers dropped approximately one million, to 4.72 million.

(03/07): A steady 1.7 rating for 'The Neighbors' in the 18-49 demographic this week. A total of 5.74 million people tuned in to watch.

(03/01): 'The Neighbors' ratings dropped back down to a 1.7 in the all important demo. In total 6.01 million people tuned in.

(02/21): The ratings for 'The Neighbors' went up this week, going to a 1.9 in the 18-49 demo. 6.34 million people watched last night's episode. It seems ratings for 'The Neighbors' are going back up again.

(02/14): Steady in the adults 18-49 demographic, 'The Neighbors' got another 1.7, with total viewers at 5.89 million.

(02/07): Numbers for 'The Neighbors' went back up again this week, scoring a rating of 1.7 in the 18-49 demographic and a total of 6.04 million viewers. All in all, quite average numbers for 'The Neighbors'.

(01/31): This week the ratings of 'The Neighbors' dropped back to a 1.6 in the all important demo while 5.27 million people were watching. Compared to last week this is a drop of 0.4, this rating breaks even with the previous series low.

(01/24): A slight rise in the ratings of 'The Neighbors'. This week's episode pulled in a rating of 2.0 in the 18-49 demographic. Total viewer count was 6.42 million, also a slight rise compared to last week's numbers.

(01/17): With a 1.8 in adults 18-49, 'The Neighbors' was back to its usual ratings this week. Total viewers only dropped a little, to 6.09 million. These numbers keep 'The Neighbors' a Toss Up.

(01/10): Back up from the low rated midseason finale, 'The Neighbors' again rated a 2.1 in the coveted demographic. In total 6.65 million people were watching the alien comedy.

Rumored to be the worst new show of the season, 'The Neighbors' attracted 9.22 million viewers and got a 3.2 rating in the all important adults 18-49 demographic. But were they just checking out how bad it would be? The second episode dropped a massive 41% in the demo to a 1.9 rating.

Later episodes rated around the 2.0 mark, and that brought ABC to the decision to pick 'The Neighbors' up for a full season. The tenth episode and at the same time midseason finale, however, only rated a 1.6 in adults 18-49.

Last Man Standing (Renewed)

(05/11): 'Last Man Standing' gets a third season.

(03/23): Ending its second season on a high note, 'Last Man Standing' scored a 1.6 in adults 18-49, which is up 14% versus last week, while 7.84 million people tuned in. The show matches the season high in the all-important demographic, if not for the 2.0 it scored in the season premiere back in October. Because of that, and because it has been relatively good lately, 'Last Man Standing' is now upgraded to a Likely Renewal.

(03/16): This week, 'Last Man Standing' drops to a 1.4 in the coveted demographic. Total viewers went down by half a million to 6.43 million.

(03/09): 'Last Man Standing' managed to stay steady at a 1.5 in the all-important demographic. The number of total viewers was 6.96 million, which is good news for the show.

(03/02): It was a good night for ABC comedies yesterday, with 'Last Man Standing' shooting up two tenths in the demo to a 1.5 in adults 18-49. Total viewers went up to 7.05 million. If it manages to keep up this level, it might just be upgraded to a likely renewal.

(02/23): Another dip for 'Last Man Standing' this week, going down to a 1.3. 6.04 million people tuned in. It is not yet in danger of being cancelled, but it cannot go any lower.

(02/16): Dropping slightly to a 1.4 in the 18-49 demo and a total of 6.65 million viewers, 'Last Man Standing' is doing fine for a Friday show, but not good enough to be a Likely Renewal.

(02/09): Adding one tenth in adults 18-49 to a 1.5 rating, with 7.29 million viewers, 'Last Man Standing' starts to get closer to ABC's scripted average. Since a Friday show is allowed to go a little lower than that, this is a good sign for the show. However, that does not mean that renewal is guaranteed yet.

(02/02): Steady near a series low 1.4 in the all-important demographic, 'Last Man Standing' has to pick up in the ratings soon, or it will drop to a likely cancellation in the near future. Last night, 6.92 million people tuned in.

(01/19): This week the ratings of 'Last Man Standing' are at a series low. The episode got a rating of 1.3 in the adults demo and 6.62 million people tuned in.

(01/12): 'Last Man Standing' inched up in the ratings this week to a 1.5 in adults 18-49. Total viewers went up to 6.89 million. While not amazing ratings, for a Friday night on ABC, things could be worse.

(01/06): The first episode of 'Last Man Standing' in the new year got a rating of 1.4 in the all important demo and 6.63 million people watched the show.

Rating a little higher than its first season finale, the 2.0 in the adults 18-49 demographic that 'Last Man Standing's second season premiere got is still much lower than the 3.6 of the series premiere. Even after dropping 0.6 over two episodes to a 1.4 rating, ABC decided to order another five episodes for the initially short second season.

Later episodes were steady around a 1.5 rating and just over 6.5 million viewers. The seven episodes that have aired up until the midseason finale averaged a 1.6 in the demographic and 7.1 million viewers. That is almost exactly the same as 'Malibu Country's ratings, and both are still Toss Ups for renewal.

Source

Malibu Country (Cancelled)

(05/11): 'Malibu Country' was cancelled after just one season.

(02/23): Following 'Last Man Standing', 'Malibu Country' ended its first season on a high note, garnering a 1.3 in adults 18-49. Total viewers went up to exactly 7.04 million. As a result, the show is upgraded to a Toss Up, because it might get renewed to remain the companion to 'Last Man Standing' on Fridays.

(03/16): Losing the relatively positive position it had last week, 'Malibu Country' drops to a 1.1 in adults 18-49, with total viewers going down to 5.60 million this week.

(03/09): Not dropping back down to its previous levels, 'Malibu Country' scored a 1.3 in adults 18-49 this week. With 5.92, the show is coming closer and closer to the Toss Up-territory.

(03/02): As the other ABC comedy that did good this Friday, 'Malibu Country' goes up to a 1.4 in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic, also adding three tenths versus last week. Total viewers went up to 6.15 million.

(02/23): Steady at a 1.1 in the coveted demographic, 'Malibu Country' is still not doing good. 5.11 million people tuned in, and the show only has 4 episodes left to pick up in the ratings.

(02/16): After the rise in the ratings last week, this week's 'Malibu Country' got disappointing numbers. With a rating of 1.2 in the 18-49 demo and a total of 5.78 million viewers, a cancellation seems more plausible than ever.

(02/09): 'Malibu Country' adds a tenth this week to a still very low 1.3 in the all-important demographic. Total viewers was 6.13 million.

(02/02): At a new series low, 'Malibu Country' hit a 1.2 in the adults 18-49 demographic last night. With 5.99 million viewers, the show is likely to be cancelled from now on.

(01/19): This week, 'Malibu Country' got a new series low, the show got a rating of 1.2 in the all important demo and 5.88 million people watched. It will need to pick up quickly or it will be downgraded to the Likely Cancellations category.

(01/12): 'Malibu Country' recovered a little in the ratings this week, back up to its average with a 1.4 in the adults 18-49 demographic this week. 6.1 million people were tuning in.

(01/06): The rating of this week's episode of 'Malibu Country' showed a drop of three tenths in adults 18-49 compared to the last original episode three weeks ago, which rated at the season average of 1.5. This week's rating of 1.2 and 5.96 million viewers are both new series lows.

'Malibu Country' premiered with a 2.3 in adults 18-49, which is quite good for a Friday show. However, over the next two episodes, the ratings plummeted by a whole point to a 1.3. Still, ABC decided to pick up five additional episodes for the show.

Consecutive episodes rated around 1.4 in the demo and all seven episodes that have aired before Christmas averaged a 1.6 rating and 6.9 million total viewers. Since it is a Friday show, 'Malibu Country' might get lucky, but purely looking at the ratings, it will be canceled.

Zero Hour (Cancelled)

(04/28): The last remaining episodes of the first season of 'Zero Hour' will be aired this summer, starting June 15th.

(03/01) - 2: After three episodes where each one rated lower than the previous one, 'Zero Hour' gets pulled from the schedule by ABC. There is no word on if and when the show will return to air, but we can safely assume that even though some episodes might get burned off over the summer, the show has arrived at Cancelville.

(03/01) - 1: 'Zero Hour' drops another tenth in the rating bringing this week's rating to a 1.0 in the all important demo. A total of 5.05 million people tuned in to watch the episode.

(02/22): The second episode of 'Zero Hour' did even worse than the premiere. It scored a 1.1 in adults 18-49, and a meager 5.4 million people tuned in. It seems 'Zero Hour' is over before it even really started.

(02/15): 'Zero Hour' wasn't high on the watch-list for many people: it scored a 1.4 in the adults 18-49 demographic and 6.38 million people watched. This is the lowest rating for an in-season scripted ABC premiere ever. Even when we take into account the fact that ratings drop all over on Valentine's, this is a bad premiere.

Last Resort (Cancelled)

(01/25): Yesterday the very last episode of 'Last Resort' attracted 5.48 million viewers. The episode got a 1.2 in the adults 18-49 demo. The show concluded at an overall average rating of 1.4.

(01/18): This week the episode of 'Last Resort' got a 1.0 rating in the all important demo en attract 5.07 million people. There is one more episode to go before the USS Colorado will set sails towards the scrapheap for good.

(01/11): 'Last Resort' pulled in 5.81 million people, the episode got a rating of 1.2 in the all important demo.

'Last Resort' premiered with a disappointing 2.2 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and almost 9.5 million people watching. The following three episodes rated an average 1.8, but then the show suddenly dropped to a 1.3, and it got even lower than that afterward. For the network, that was a clear-cut incentive to cancel the show, and that is exactly what happened.

At Christmas, there are still three episodes left, which will air as scheduled. The producers have managed to tweak the season finale into a makeshift series finale to give the fans some closure.

Apartment 23 (Effectively Cancelled)

(01/22): There is no episode scheduled for tonight, and ABC silently yanks 'Don't Trust The B--- In Apartment 23' off the schedule. The Tuesdays at 9/8c timeslot will now be filled with double episodes of the also struggling 'Happy Endings', which will now get to finish its run before 'Dancing With The Stars' takes over on March 26th.
There are 8 episodes left for 'Apartment 23', which might (or might not) end up in a burn-off slot on Saturday nights or somewhere during the summer. While officially, the network hasn't made any decision on the fate of the show, we all know how to read these tea leaves.

(01/16): Last night's episode of 'Apartment 23' got a rating of 1.1 in the all important demo. This is the same as last Tuesday's episode but three tenths higher than last Sunday's episode. This episode was watched by 2.73 million people.

(01/16): ABC agrees with us that 0.8 ratings don't do much good for a show and therefore the network decided to cut the Sunday night airings for 'Apartment 23', and those of 'Happy Endings' as well. Both shows will remain airing in their Tuesday timeslot as usual, while the Sundays at 10/9c timeslot will be filled with 'Shark Tank' repeats. If the shows don't finish their run before March, expect a summer burn-off (and either way, cancellation is inevitable). The former occupant of that timeslot, '666 Park Avenue' has also some episodes left to air, but those will remain scheduled for burn-off during the summer as well. Way to go, ABC!

(01/14): 'Don't Trust The B--- In Apartment 23' is airing two episodes a week in January, on Sundays at 10:30/9:30c and on the regular Tuesdays at 9:30/8:30c. ABC hopes to air all episodes before March, because then, 'Red Widow' and 'Dancing With The Stars' take over the respective timeslots. This kind of semi burn-off indicates that ABC is eyeing to cancel the show. And that is exactly what this Sunday's ratings point towards: an 0.8 in the all-important demographic and 1.76 million viewers is REALLY bad (unless you're on The CW, of course), and also a series low.

(01/09): This week's episode of 'Apartment 23' attracted 3.11 million viewers, the show got a rating of 1.1 in the all important demographic. The rating is a bit higher than last week's rating, but it's still pretty low.

(01/07): The new year isn't looking very good for 'Don't Trust The B--- In Apartment 23'. The rating for the first episode of 2013 dropped to a 0.9, making it even more likely to be cancelled. The total viewer count was 2.21 million.

Without the 'Modern Family' lead-in, 'Don't Trust The B--- In Apartment 23's second season premiered 41% lower than its first season at a 1.7 in adults 18-49. In the following episodes, the b--- quickly dropped to ratings just over 1.0.

The seven episodes that have aired before the winter break averaged 1.2 in the all-important demographic and 3.1 million total viewers. With these kinds of numbers, it is not very likely that the show will see another season.

666 Park Avenue (Cancelled)

'666 Park Avenue' series premiere attracted 6.97 million people and got a rating of 2.2 in the all important demo. The ratings of the following episodes kept declining until after 7 episodes ABC decided to cancel the show. At this point the show was averaging a rating of 1.6. The two episodes that have aired following the cancellation got a rating of 1.2 and 1.3 respectively. There are four more episodes left to air, which will be burned off during the summer.
