Amazing Race -- Unfinished Business -- Get The Cowboys
The Wrong Team Got Eliminated
I really hate when a bunch of other teams gang up against another team. Unfortunately, that seemed to have been the theme for the ninth leg of the race. The Cowboys seemed to be the outsiders that the other teams in their special little clique wanted to get rid of.
The first task was to measure the length on Liechstenstein on a motorized bike. Jett had to redo the course twice because he didn't have a buddy to pass the answer on like the members of the Get The Cowboys clique did. It cost them major time on the race.
Gary and Mallory had an easy Speed Bump to do. They had to figure out the correct mixture of gas and oil to fuel their motorized bike. I have to save Miss Mallory is really beginning to irritate me. Someone put this chick on tranqulizers, already. Her behavior in the taxi with the taxi driver made me want someone to just smack her. I'm beginning to wish they'd gotten eliminated in the last leg.
Zermatt, Switzerland is the next stop. Everyone on the train is thrilled the Cowboys didn't make their train. They quite simply made me sick. It's too bad the ones that helped the others cheat by giving them the correct answer didn't receive a penalty.
The Detour is Cheese or Wheeze. In Cheese you have to eat a whole pot of cheese fondue and in Wheeze you have to deliver 20 pieces of luggage to nearby hotels to receive 20 baggage claim tags.
Zev/Justin don't seem to have learned from the ferris wheel eating task and go for Cheese and have a hard time consuming a whole pot of cheese fondue. Jen/Kisha started Cheese and left to go do Wheeze. It takes them awhile, and Justin even throws up from eating all the fondue, but they finish and head off to the pit stop which is Inderbunnen Brunnen. Since they know they're first again, they don't U-Turn anyone. Zev/Justin win a trip to the Caribbean for being the first time to arrive.
All the other teams decide to do Wheeze. Kent is his usual whining and complaining self to the point Vyxsin ends up hauling him in the luggage cart after they finish delivering their luggage. I think she realizes it'll be faster that way and will finally stop his incessant whining.
Jen/Kisha don't U-Turn anyone and check in as team #2.
The Goths don't U-Turn anyone and check in as team #3.
Gary/Mallory also don't U-Turn anyone and are teams #4.
The Trotters lose two of their baggage claim tags and have to redo the two missing pieces of luggage, as the Cowboys are trying to make up lost time. Unfortunately, The Trotters U-Turn them, so it's all over for the Cowboys as they get eliminated.
The Trotters would have been eliminated if they hadn't been given help on the bike task. It was sad to see them go. Too bad the non-elimination leg was wasted on Gary/Mallory. What makes it sadder is these teams were so threatened by the Cowboys they teamed up against them to make sure they got no help that they gave to everyone else. I expect garbage like that in Big Brother or Survivor, but not the Amazing Race. I really do hope that they make a rule that if you help another team do the task, you get a penalty to make it more fair so future teams can't band together and team up against a team they feel is better at the Race than they are to get rid of them.
