American Idol Judges 2013 - Mariah Carey vs Nicki Minaj Feud

Can you believe this? Just a few days after confirming the 2013 American Idol judges, Mariah and Nicki are already into each others' faces. Way to go, girls! This diva ego clash is just the first of many many more to come, I hope.

Today, in The View, Barbara Walters announced that she had spoken with Mariah Carey before the show and said that Mariah was very concerned by Nicki Minaj's alleged outburst saying that if she had a gun, she would shoot the bitch. I hope she wasn't referring to a female dog. That would have been so mean, wouldn't it?

What's next? Keith Urban calling Randy Jackson "yo, dawg!" Yes, ole Randy is back in the American Idol judges panel. Why? Apparently, all other deals with famous celebrities fell through, and the new season was about to start. So, the producers turned to Randy and said, "Welcome back Randy."

American Idol needed another reboot after losing its top-rated crown in TV, which it held for eight years, slipping to #2 behind "Sunday Night Football," in 2012. Ratings continued a steady decline and the 2012 May finale drew record-low ratings
. I'm guessing it was due to all the sickening over the moon praises and standing ovations by the judges to undeserving contestants last season. What a joke. I, for one, got turned off, and I was a die-hard Idol fan.

Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez dropped out as judges of American Idol. So, good riddance to Steven and JLo.

First New Judge to Sign - Mariah Carey

On July 23, 2012, five-time Grammy Award winning superstar Mariah Carey signed a one year $18 million contract with Fox as an American Idol 2013 judge.

Two More New Judges Signed - Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban

Just hours before auditions for the show started in New York, Fox confirmed that rapper Nicki Minaj and country singer Keith Urban had joined as the newest celebrity judges in 2013 American Idol.

Nicki Minaj, 29, has dominated the hip-hop world since debuting in the music scene in 2010, having had multiple hit records, is rumored to be making $8 million as a judge on the show.

Keith Urban, 44, is a four-time Grammy winner who boast sales of 15 million albums. He was a judge/coach in the Australia’s version of ‘The Voice’ last year. He is rumored to be making $4 million.

Randy Jackson is back for his twelfh season as American Idol Judge

Randy Jackson is an American bassist, singer, Grammy Award winning producer, music manager, A&R executive, and television personality.

He is one of the original judges on American Idol (from 2002 to present) and Executive Producer for MTV's America's Best Dance Crew.

Randy has been known to say "Yo, dawg" a lot.

Randy has been the lead judge since season 10, and he seems to approve of his new fellow judges. This is Randy's twelfth season as American Idol judge.

So, there you go. Quite an impressive panel of judges. I, for one, am looking forward to watch the new judges fight with one another.

Let the game begin.

I am so disappointed that Jessica did not win. Is this show about who has the best vocal voice or who can charm the ordience more or who is the best looking. Clearly Jessica can sing rings around Phillip any day of the week.

This is for JLo. You pushed for PP from the very start. Phillip couldn't hold a candle to Jessica. He is in no way American Idol material. He should be singing in a western bar in Georgia. He looked like he slept in his clothes and has no personality. His voice is okay but he certainly in no way should he be the AI winner. All the teenie boppers voted for him. You guys always had. Something bad to say about the songs the others sang etc. but according PP was a genius. Maybe we need some new judges who knw talent when they see it.

The American idol judges need to be voted off ,ii'm sick of them trying to control who is voted off & who stays!!!! If they have the same judges next year I'm done watching!!! I hope it's goodbye judges!!!!!!

Jennifer Lopez I do think you are a good critic. I do not like the way you speak down to Jessica. Every week you make a comment about her age. Her age got nothing to do with the Idols. I am so glad you saved her, she is by far the best of the last four. Her mother send her a weekly message, always the same, "please stay humble", what a wonderful comment. Jimmy is the best in the industry, listen to him. Come on America vote for Jessica

Randy is exactly correct in his decision....Josh had had it from the start...Jennifer is awesome but just not enough experience, we know they will all go to be signed on with someone good, so it's a win win situation for all, except of course for me, I can't be in the front row to feast my eyes on Steven's "honkin Bobo"!!!! I would bless his little foot that he crippled up just fire all of us, and keeps on keeping on!!!! I adore you Steven Tyler....I am 60 years old taking care of my 34 year old disabled son, 84 year old mother and jobless at the moment but seeing AI makes is everyone happy!!!!! Mmmwwwahhh!!!! Thank u all forfor who u r...and randpy is right on so lay off....love to all!!! Bcannon

I like your hub, thanks for all the information and great photos. I also linked to you hub in my latest hub about Joshua Ledet on American Idol. Thanks!

Randy is a very racist guy. The only good for him is Josh. He always finds fouls to the other kids, and no matter what he just want the boy to win the title, even though there are much better singers than him. I find it very ridiculous that every week they give standing ovation to Josh, just because Randy ask the other judges to do it. For Jessica that has a gorgeous singing voiceis they never do it. Screaming, and probable "dirtying his pants" does not mean Josh is a good singer. We suffer when we see him screaming, and pushing, because the veins in his neck are popping up, and we think he is going to have a stroke. I don't think he should be the American idol since the other kids are much better than him. Randy, is pushing America too much for the boy to be the AI. and I don't think it is fear. Randy, and Jennifer!! don't push too much!!!, let as vote, and chose who is the best for us.

That is why i do not watch these show anymore ,it has nothing to do with people voting but rather they make us look like fools ,know wonder why they are losing ratings ....and by the way i don't think that Sanchez is any good anyway,so what is the fuss all about?

I cannot believe that talent such as Erika Van pelt was not saved by the judges. She is an extremely talented woman, muchmore so than HeeJun who continues to stay in the competition. I do not understand.

Steven Tyler needs to go. American Idol I thought is a family show. Who wants to see him strip down and show his butt as he did Feb. 23, 2012.

Please do not let Jennifer Lopez leave the show. Its not because of her looks. She has true compassion for the contestants. She's to what it takes. I only wish I could meet her in person. I would like to see Jen when she is not behind the camera.
