Are you in the mood for Enya?

music and images inspires mood

Enya has a place nestled in the heart of many who love this music. The mood is intriguing, almost melancholy, reflective. The first video is very well done, for my favorite song, 'Orinoco Flow', a song that makes me want to travel, see distant places, absorb the sea shore.

Orinoco Flow

Watermark

This presentation of 'Watermark' has lots of water images, clouds, and it is the type of piece I am sad to see end. It is only a little over two minutes long and is masterful in the use of color, plants, waterfalls, paintings, sunsets and flowers.

Enya is great - It must be the Irish in me but she certainly evokes beauty and peace. Check out Clannad and Maire Brennan also.

Lefse: Thank you for reminding me of Enya on a day that indeed is finally without rain.

I love these two selections, which practically tie with two of my other Enya favorites: "Only Time" and "The Celts." But then, all of Enya's songs are my favorites.

I noticed the above comment referencing Enya's sister, Maire Brennan, and their family band, Clannad, in which Enya sang before soloing. I especially treasure BĂ thusa mo shĂșile (Be Thou My Vision) and Peacemaker (St Francis prayer in Irish) on Maire's album, "Whisper to the Wild Water."

I agree with your comments on the images in both of the YouTubes which you've featured. I want to sail away down the Orinoco. I smell the flowers, I'm feeling the sea breeze, and I'm watching the play of light in the sky.

Well done!

Kind regards, Stessily
