Awesome Movies That Kristen Stewart Is In
1. The Twilight Series
The Twilight Series; Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse & Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2, are by far what Kristen Stewart is most known for. She plays the leading female role of Bella who falls in love with a vampire. The Twilight series is based on a book series written by author Stephanie Meyers. The first movie in this series, Twilight, was released in 2008 and according to IMDB grossed $191,449,475 in the box office in USA. This series birthed a huge fan base and following. Although there are thousand who are acclaimed "twihards", Kristen Stewart in particular received a lot of negative feed back and reviews of her acting. However, this is one of the most recognized movies that Kristen Stewart is in.
2. Panic Room
Panic room is one of the first movies that Kristen Stewart had a leading role and was on the top billed actors list. She played Sarah Altman, a diabetic who with her mother, played by actress Jodie Foster, takes refuge in the panic room of their home when a home invasion occurs. Although this particularly movie grossed about $100,000,000 less than the original Twilight movie, it has received a higher ranking on most movie review sites. Is this because of her well known co-star, Foster? Or are there more people who care enough to take the time to give Twilight a bad review?
3. Speak
Speak is a not so well known movie that like the Twilight series, is based on a book. The movie was first released in 2004 at the Sundance Film Festival and was later aired on television in the US in 2005.. Stewart plays the leading female role of Melinda Sordino, a high school student who experienced a traumatizing summer just before her freshmen year. She enters her first year of high school with all of her friends not speaking to her and she herself becoming a selective mute. If you are a fan of the book, than the movie will delight you as well. It is a dramatic and heart felt movie that tells the books story well and accurately. Although most of the actors are not well known when this film came out, many have gone on to have leading roles in shows and films we love today.
4. The Runaways
In 2010 Kristen Stewart played Joan Jett along side her best friend and fellow actress Dakota Fanning who played Cherie Currie, in The Runaways. A movie based on the founding of the 1975 all girl punk rock band. The role that Kristen Stewart played was very refreshing since it came between releases of installments in the Twilight series. The movie got fair reviews as did Kristen's acting for a change. This movie is one of many rated R movies Kristen Stewart has starred in due to it's language, drug use and sexual content.
Adventurland
This 2009 rom-com was a box office hit that paired Stewart with, at the time, up and coming actor Jesse Eisenberg. Eisenberg plays a recent high school grad who is forced to find a summer job, instead of touring Europe, before he heads off to college. He works at an amusement park and falls for his co-worker (Stewart) and learns the typical life and love lessens of a teen about to break out on his own. This particular Stewart starring movie did well in theaters but got mixed reviews from critics.
