Baby Don't You Make Me Cry - SONG

Lyrics by Maria D’Alessandro and T-roy Anderson ©2011 Music by T-roy Anderson

I’m walking, walking on the edge of the line

Where I fit best, no-one else can see

Help me, help me shake the pain inside

My will, is all I have left of me

We used to be steady, steady like my favourite shoes

Now I’m shakey, like my flat heeled boots

I see things just the way I feel

I know love has to be real

Now baby don’t you make me cry

I didn’t want to say goodbye

The words won’t come out

So I just sit and sigh

I love you, I just can’t tell you why

Well, I sense things that you just don’t see

That’s my curse, that’s my destiny

I wonder how sweet life would be

If I knew your secret dreams

I wonder what your loving heart holds dear

Perhaps that picture of us down by the pier

On the beach near the bay

With the sun and lapping waves

Even the seagulls sang to us that day

.....well like the epi-man you are not just another pretty face but also a naturally gifted songwriter - it's all there in your creative DNA and your pedigree as a talented wordsmith is on display here.

Love your presentation; it is so well thought out with the printing of the lyrics and the video collaboration which allows us to view and listen to the 'finished product' ......posted to our music group and elsewhere in the world in order to promote a new wave of Maria-mania and to make all of the other songwriters in this world a bit nervous

Thank you dear rahul - You taught me a new Italian word today - "pezzonovante" - meaning "Big shot". For sure Colin will be jealous. LOL

Beautifully composed Maria. I admire your work, your style and your poetic verse. I wonder what some of my work would sound like to music. I had a musician once from Sound Cloud who follows my work email me to ask if he could use one of my poems to set to music, I agreed but never heard back.

I guess he got to busy or to famous? LoL Heck Maria nice placement as well as Troy's video, a great way to listen and follow along. I also play the guitar, I wrote a poem, that I unpublished but will be placing back at the hubs. It's called "Fool In Love" have a read when you see it or get a chance.

Great work Maria, I hope you are being recognized as a song writer and that someone picks you up. Give your fellow countryman a call Keith Urban, heck he just might make you as famous as him. Hugs

The song does have a very classic Dylan feel. Great song, and very moving lyrics.
