chorus:

when I die, let my soul go back to Dixie

wrap me in that "bonney blue" flag when you bury me

in the corner by that weeping willow for all the world to see.

when I die, let my soul go home to Dixie.

verse 1:

verse 2:

They raise the pace and talk too loud and are brave as hell when their in a crowd

no wonder I get whiskey bent.

chorus:

when I die, let my soul go back to Dixie

wrap me in that "bonney blue" flag when you bury me

in the corner by that weeping willow for all the world to see.

when I die, let my soul go home to Dixie.

the end.
