Beth Chapman is the real Bounty Hunter Dog

Updated on January 12, 2011

A Bounty Hunting Family

We’ve all seen the exciting episodes of Dog the Bounty Hunter . It portrays Duane Chapman otherwise known as Dog as the star of the bounty hunting family . The bounty hunters live in Hawaii and pick up fugitives for bail agents that haven‘t been able to apprehend their skips. Apart from Dog, his sons Leland and Duane Lee, there is also Tim whom is unrelated to the family and then there is Beth , Dog’s wife.

To give credit where its due, these bounty hunters are responsible for apprehending the badass scumbag Max Factor heir in Mexico, Andrew Luster, plus a plethora of other fugitives. Although the bounty hunters didn’t collect a dime for that particular ‘Pick Up” , since it was a cash bond vs. a surety or bail bond, the publicity skyrocketed Dog and his family to fame. The result of that “Pick Up “ shows how dedicated these bounty hunters are when they risk their own freedom to bring back the likes of this SOB that now sits and rots in prison.

Alongside her husband Dog and rest of the posse, all clad in tight glossy leather, stands this magnificent spectacle of a bail agent woman with every inch of her double D’s bulging out of her leather vest. I’m top heavy and about her age . I also happen to own a few articles of leather. I would have to be kidnapped by the toughest, rowdiest motorcycle gang around, and made to wear that kind of outfit before seen in public flaunting it.

While the rest of the viewers are concentrating on Dog , with his weathered beaten skin, long blonde hair blowing in the wind, and flexing biceps, very cooly styling his Oakley’s sunglasses with spacey looking earpieces which I’m sure are blasting his eardrums with tunes of “ Welcome To The Jungle , we got Fun and Games” and “Shes got Legs, She knows how to use them” I’m thinking “How much are they paying this woman ?”

Get this, $2.6 Million per season ! For that amount of money dress me up anyway you want, I will let it all hang out too!

Beth is the real licensed bondswoman or bail agent. Dog a born again Christian is a convicted felon which served time 18 months out of a 5 year prison sentence for murder but is allowed to work in a Bounty Hunter capacity. Hawaii like most States won’t license a convicted felon but is one of the few States that will permit a felon to catch criminals. How does that work ? I watch the episodes and force myself to focus on her other traits.

In a few episodes of the show Beth becomes real angry . She displays rude and confrontational behavior towards defendants families to the point where the whole cast and crew almost get their butts kicked. Ok , I get it she’s in character , it’s a show, from the bleached blonde hair to the dagger like red nails and the scary black witch boots . I just have a problem being in the same bail business and having people continuously asking if I dress up like Beth on bond jumps. The short answer is No . The long answer is Hell No ! It’s a show people.

I am not contemplating a criminal career anytime soon but if I’m ever in need of bail, skip out on a bail agent, and become a fugitive I hope they send Duane the convicted felon after me. I’ll be sure to jump in front of his moving black SUV, allow him to handcuff and shackle me, before they unleash the real Dog on me.
