Who is Jay Z?

Shawn Carter, also known as Jay-Z became a huge success in 1996 when he released his debut album, Reasonable Doubt. In 1997, he released his second album, In My Lifetime vol. 1 which reached platinum status in the U.S. This would pave the way for the multimillionaire/Icon/Mogul known as Jay-Z.

After years of hit record after hit record and constant success, Jay-Z is now known as more of a businessman and entrepreneur than a recording artist. Jay-Z co-owns the 40/40 Club and owns a part of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets. He is the former CEO of Def Jam Records, one of the three founders of Roc-A-Fella Records, the founder of Roc Nation and the creator of Rocawear Clothing. In 2008, he married to one of the most successful R&B singers in the world, Beyoncé Knowles, whom recently gave birth to there son, Blue Ivy Carter.
