Best Romantic Comedies and Love Stories of 2012: Featuring the new trailer to "Step Up 4"

Throughout cinematic history, we've treated to some of the most touching love stories ever conceived. In fact, it's thanks to the romantic love stories that Hollywood creates that we gotten such great films like "Gone with the Wind", "Casablanca", and others. And over the years, we've even had a lot of great romantic comedies to enjoy as well, as it was practically invented by the legendary director, Frank Capra, when he made such great movies like "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town", "It Happened One Night", "It's a Wonderful Life", and others.

That's why I'm so happy to present the "Best Romantic Comedies and Love Stories of 2012." Here, you can see a great selection of various love stories that'll either warm your heart, or perhaps make us laugh as well. Unlike last year, I've taken the liberty of categorizing these preview hubs in perspective categories. Unfortunately, this also means you might start to see some of these movies appear in multiple preview hubs. This is because I can't assume that the same group of people will read this hub, will necessarily read my "Best Comedies of 2012" as well.

Another thing worth noting is that not all these movies have trailers yet, but I will be updating this hub as soon as they become available. Also be sure to check your local listings, as release dates are subject to change.

Great Gatsby obviously could be really good but Baz Luhrmann scares me a little bit for the movie. Sure his style might fit in re-creating the story for modern times, but I just hated the Romeo & Juliet film he did. Granted, I was forced to watch it multiple times this past semester and the semester before it. It does have a great cast going for it though, Carey Mulligan is a great choice for the film. I am really looking forward to Five-Year Engagement and American Reunion. The rest seems very much like "more of the rest" for this kind of genre.

Side note: the poster for Twilight looks so fake lol

Yeah, I don't disagree. The problem with most romance movies is that there's really only so much originality that one can go with the genre...let alone fathom how original one can produce a romantic comedy. However, it should be interesting to see how all these movies come out.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by again.

Your welcome buddy, and thanks for stopping by again to check out the previews. Personally, I'm with you about most of them, but I might still check out "The Great Gatsby" though, since Leonardo DiCaprio is in it.

This is a great list. There are actually a few movies I want to see. As many mentioned, "The Great Gatsby" looks promising. "The Five Year Engagement" sounds interesting, though it is probably just another romantic comedy!

Yeah, that's true about "the five year engagement", but it still looks pretty funny though. Hopefully, "The Great Gatsby" will turn out to be pretty good, as I look forward to that one the most. Anyway, thanks for stopping by, as I'm glad you liked the list.
