Burn Notice: Breaking Point

Burn Notice has returned this November and has marched in like an old friend. Michael is working for Anson who burned as a covert CIA agent who is suppose to betray the CIA. His security clearance has been increased and he claims to have broken all allegiances to Fiona, Sam Jesse and his Mom but old habits die hard. And while the former rogue team is being kept on the down low they are as involved as ever.

History of Michael Weston

Michael Weston was brought up in Miami by his abusive Father and his Mother with his brother Nate. As a teenager he left home and joined the military. When he finished his tour he joined the CIA and spent a great deal of his time working as a covert operative. He worked in Ireland and that is how he met Fiona. He also worked in Afghanistan for many years. His friend and a former Navy Seal Sam Axe use to inform on Weston to the FBI. Michael was content to live the life of a covert operative in isolation. But then he was burned. He lost his job with agency, his credit and back accounts were frozen and he couldn’t tell anyone he use to work for the CIA. So he made peace with his former enemies and they have become his new rogue team. And in his pursuit of finding out who burned him he has to burn a DEA agent Jesse. And Jesse forgives Michael and joins the rogue team as well. But Michael’s Mom, poor Maddy, has been initiated in the spy trade by Michael’s friends.

And where Michael Weston was a battle hardened spy once burned he started becoming a human being again. That is until he found out that burned him. Anson is using Michael’s humanity against him and black mailing him into spying on the CIA in order to keep Fiona out of jail. Michael is playing along and working as a spy off the books of the CIA.

This season should be very interesting to see how Michael holds onto his humanity and love while still being in the Spy Game. The truth is it is almost an impossible feat under idea circumstances and Weston hasn’t seen ideal circumstances in his entire life. Weston is endangered of being a spy compromised by love.

Review

Michael gets his SCI security clearance which is a Sensitive Compartmentalized Intelligence. He receives this clearance in order to plant a program that will erase the existence of Anson. Fiona tracks Anson hoping to find the leverage he is using on Michael. Fiona is determined not to allow Michale to be compromised for loving her.

But in the interim Michael's childhood friend was shot and killed. The only witness is a drug addict, Dolly, who is murdered.

Dion Andrea's killer looks llke he will get away with it. But Michael has him blow up his gang with his cell telephone and Dion is as good as a dead. Andrea's brother Ricky hits him and makes him cut a deal and go to jail for Andrea's murder.

Michael has to betray the CIA for Anson.
