Courage - Can I dare you to do any of these activities?

.

ツ You hear people say:

  • "Live life to the full..."
  • "Live with Passion..."
  • "You only live once...." Ha!!

So, I have found a few daring adventures for people (including me) to do. Let me know which one you are brave enough to go through.

.

A) Dining in the Sea

This photo was taken in Bora Bora. So lovely. I could dine there, but would ask for my seat to be a bit closer to the beach, so I can “leg it” if ever an Octopus or Shark pops by, thinking they were invited to dine too.

.

.

B) Standing on a Rock

I don’t know where this is but it’s a tourist attraction. Would you dare to stand on that rock and take in the scenery? I could as long as there is a boat below – incase I slip. I hope I don’t miss the boat too because a fall from that height would land deep in the water.

.

.

C) Sky Diving

Daring, but fun. Get that Adrenalin going. I think once you jump out of the plane and remember the position to be in, you’ll be fine and will enjoy the view – Don’t you think? Though, there would be lots of screams.

.

.

D) Living in the middle of the Sea

Could you live here for a month or a week? If you look towards the right of it, there Is a capsule to get you to and from the door – if it has one. Seems okay to me, but the bottom seems to be fragile. The upper part is so much bigger and heavier.

.

.

5) Underwater Bedroom

This is an amazing underwater bedroom suite. It is 16 feet below sea level of the Indian Ocean - Conrad Maldives, Rangali Island and encased in acrylic glass. It’s easy to sit here for an hour or so, but could you sleep there the whole night, not knowing what sea creatures are peeping at you? I guess the positive side is, if you can't sleep - you can count fish or sharks, instead of sheep.

.

So, what’s your choice? What can you dare to do?

  • Dining in the Sea.
  • Standing on that Rock.
  • Sky Diving.
  • Living in the Middle of the Sea.
  • Sleeping in an Under Water Bedroom.

Lady_E, fab photos and what a great idea for a hub - I'm dining in the ocean :o) That rock jammed between other rocks......Scary!

Already done the sky diving and would recommend it to anyone. Kinda fancy the underwater bedroom next...

There is no way I could stand on that rock...vertigo....and skydiving...no way. The others I would do in a heartbeat. Fun hub my dear; very enjoyable and great pictures.

What a fun hub. I could definitely see myself dining in the sea and sleeping in the underwater bedroom, but you'd never catch me sky diving!

Voted up across the board except for funny.

We had a chokestone rock like that one where I grew up. We called it pee rock. If you could get up on it hooray, if you could stand on it double hooray. But if you could get up there and stand on it and take a pee that was really something. How did they build that on top of that rock in the ocean? Wonderful delightful Hub.

This is probably one of the coolest hubs I have ever seen. I think you just added a few things to my bucket list. I just got back from Aruba. Now I need to take a trip to Bora Bora

@Jools99 - Dining in the Ocean it is then. Bon Appetit. Thanks for stopping.

@Petenali - That's so cool that you have already done Sky Diving. Amazing experience. Thanks.

@Billybuc - Hi Bill, I'm glad there are some you can do. Have fun with it. Best Wishes

@HappyBoomerNurse - The two you can do seem quite calming with an element of excitement. Hope you get to someday. Thanks for sharing.

@ErikDierker - That was funny to read. Brave of those who dared to do all three. lol. Thanks.

@Cameron - Welcome back from Aruba. I hope you enjoy Bora Bora and dining in the water. Glad you stopped by.

Standing on that rock and sleeping in that underwater bed is daring and frightening things I would not want to do. I bet they pay a lot of money to do those things. This hub was unique.

gmaoli profile image

gmaoli 4 years ago from South Carolina

For me, it would be sleeping at the underwater bottom. I'll admit that although it's more intimidating than the dinning at the sea (at least in my opinion) it's less terrifying than the other options. Still, it's pretty far below the see and if that glass every breaks...oh boy! Then again, it's probably a good baby step program...you're that far below, but you see incredible wonders flying by you as you sit and watch. And it's not from a flat screen screen TV showing a National Geographic Documentary...it's the real deal! Maybe that's what we have to do...take that extra step out of that comfort zone to see the world like we've never seen it before. That might encourage me to do something as thrilling as skydiving, but that's a long work in progress. lol

Nice article! Sharing this one!

I have almost done the first one. But it was not really dining as much as drinking beer and eating nuts. The rest I would love to do and some of them don't seem like a dare, but as something pleasant.

Peanutritious profile image

These all look brilliant! I would love a bedroom under the sea like that. I've always wanted to sky dive but I would really have to be pushed out of the plane! I did a bungee jump on a school trip years ago and still remember that feeling of free falling! I was terrified when it was time to go but did it as the school kids were egging me on!

Elena,

Happy Birthday!

What a fascinating article! I think the only one of the five "adventures" I would consider is dining in the sea. I'm not brave enough for the others.

Good hub! I think, for me, skydiving would be the one thing I couldn't do. I've done the "rock" during some mountain climbing expeditions a while ago and I live by the ocean so those activities look like fun and doable but jumping out of a perfectly good airplane............!!! Voted this hub up.

Lady_E profile image

Lady_E 4 years ago from London, UK Author

@Flashmakeit - Hi, Thanks for stopping. Good to see you. I'll have to find another daring one for you. :-)

@Gmaoli - Oh, your comment was funny to read. If the glass broke, it will definitely be the real deal. You just have to keep your fingers crossed or maybe sleep with a Life Jacket. lol . Thanks

@Imkarn - Choice noted for underwater bedroom then. Sweet dreams....

Lady_E profile image

Lady_E 4 years ago from London, UK Author

@Jeolmoz2 - Lol. I agree - the rock is begging for trouble. Even a noisy plane would move it and God help who's standing on it at that time. Lovely of you to stop by.

@Distant Mind - Oh... you have a brave heart. Good to know you would like to do all. Cheers.

@PeaNutritious - Wow... That bungee jump was an unforgettable experience. I love watching them, but I'm never gonna do one, even if I'm egged on with boxes of chocolates. lol. Thanks for sharing your experience.

As I have already skydived, I had to go with living in the middle of the sea. The only way I'd stand on a rock would be with a safety line, the bedroom under the sea kind of boring, and dining at sea a tourist trap. Interesting choices though! Good Hub!

Lady E . Awesome , I would love to see more people get outside doing anything ! I am often mindful how alone you can be in nature . One mile from here is a state forest with miles of trails and dirt roads and you seldom see people doing anything there . Of course a lot of people do use the outdoors as here in this hub ! I went on a zip line a couple of weeks ago and horseback riding last week . We all need to get out , get going , get active ! This is funny , wanna stand on that rock with me , you can hold my hand !+++

You are still a brave lady. You found one to do. :-)

@Point2make Wow.... living by the Ocean is one of the best places to be. So..... for for you Sky Diving is a "No No". Thanks for stopping.

Very interesting Lady E. I think I can do dining in the sea and sleep in an underater bedroom in 1 minute. :-))). Your pictures are great too!

Lady_E profile image

@MamaKim - Maybe you could do the easy job and fly the plane while we all jump out. That's less daring. lol. Glad you stopped by. Thanks.

@ahorseback - So True and a healthy for us, if we spend time out doors. It's nice that you go horse riding, that's definitely too late for me to learn but I like watching people riding. As for standing on that rock with you.... Hmmmm, still thinking about it. :-)

@Ignugent - 1 minute?? That's not enough time for the fish to get acquainted with you. Lol. I hope you enjoy dining in the sea then. Thanks. Nice to read your comment.

This Hub is awesome. I want to do all of those things. If I could sky dive with a table that had a parachute attached to it so I could eat while sky diving and then land in the ocean at the same time that would be awesome.

paulgc 4 years ago

Hello Lady E, i would like to skydive but to do it right i think i would like to dive from the edge of the stratosphere, almost touching space, the view must be amazing up there. Great Hub, voted up and awesome.

Awesome hub, I do all of the above if I had the chance and have already skydived. After that, it's all downhill :)

@Gamerelated - Lol. I'm still trying to picture you with that table and parachute. You'll have to get one of the sky divers to hold the bottle of wine.

@PaulGC - Stratosphere .... Wow, that's a big leap. Huge!! It would be fun to watch. Cheers Paul.

@Expresso - I hope the Sky Diving was an awesome experience for you. I'm sure you will enjoy the other ones.

I have been to Bora Bora where I dived with wild stingrays. As a younger man i was a free-solo rock climber so i have the stand on a rock thing covered. I live on a boat so the sea thing is covered. So I guess I'm jumping out of a plane next.

Lady_E profile image

I'd like to dine in the sea. I'm not as daring for the rest. Even though sky diving would be interesting. Maybe one day. Standing on the rock would never happen. Excellent hub, makes one think exactly how daring they really are! :)

I can't swim but sleeping under the sea sounds very romantic. I guess I took too much from The Little Mermaid! Great hub!

mary615 profile image

This is food for thought! I'm a very cautious person: I don't do anything daring at my age. I always wanted to sky dive, but now I'm afraid I'll break a hip! I would to the bedroom under the sea and watch the fishes go by.

Great Hub...I voted it UP, etc. and will share.

I love the underwater bedroom - that is fabulous!

The only activity which I would not care much to try, would be the dinner in the swimming pool/ocean. I am not sure that would be very enjoyable. Eating, while half submerged doesn't really spark my interest. What if a big wave comes and You are just getting at the best part of the meal? (lol)

The standing on a rock like the one in your photo, I have done many times. I have done worse than that too - maybe hanging off of its sides might seem like a challenge.

Fun read, thank You for putting this piece of writing together.

Cheers!

@Sunshine - That's brave of you to Sky Dive. It will be fun. Thanks. :-)

@Sharkye - Lol - the glass is very special and very touch. Not even a Shark can break it. Thanks for stopping.

@Cassy - It would be fun and there'll be so much more daring things you could get up to. Maybe even a space travel. :-)

Lady_E profile image

@ Mr Happy ... oh, I never thought about that. So that means people will have to dine with life jackets. :-) Nice to know you have done some other spectacular activities. Life is for living with Passion.

Thanks for stopping.

Whoa! I must admit that I don't have the gall to try any one of those things. Guess that just makes me a fraidy cat. The closest I'll come to that is the Dining in the Sea one. However, I'd modify it to where I would dine in a pool. And the pool would only get to be filled with 2 feet of water. Yeah, Lady E, how's about you add another option called Dining in a Pool? You'll get my vote for that one! Voted up.

Lady_E profile image

Lady_E 3 years ago from London, UK Author

@ Movielardatadare Lol... Ok. The pool? There'd be no sand or friendly fish floating round your feet, no sounds of sea gulls flying past, no celebs passing by in their Luxurious Yachts waving at you.

New year resolution 2013 - Dining in the Sea with friends. :-)

I'm glad you stopped by. Thanks

movielardatadare profile image

movielardatadare 3 years ago from Texas

Okee dokee, how's about this? Perhaps the underwater bedroom one. However, a couple of modifications. I'd have to have a scuba tank at arm's length. Also, I'd have to have at least 2 of my friends staying up all night in the room with me. Why? So that just in case there's a crack in the glass roof, they wake me up, and I put my scuba gear on. That would be massive, eh? Does that count, Lady E?!

Lady_E profile image

Lady_E 3 years ago from London, UK Author

Lol. "Where there is a will, there is a way."

That's perfect. I'm sure you'll find 2 nice friends to stay up all night. :-)

Cheers.
