2 epifanny, yes this is for real. I know it's hard to believe but he really is that thick. I'll have to catch the Michael Moore Farenheight 911 documentary movie. Thanks for letting me know about it. :)

2 t.keeley, I hadn't seen Frank Caliendo's impression until now. Hilarious impression of Bush and Clinton and I like the explanation of why Bush is kinda like a slot machine. I watched other Utubes by Caliendo and they are all a riot. I am going to add the link to my hub now. Thanks :)

Ya Compu-smart he is a joke isn't he! The late night comedians have a field day with him and soo very funny. I watched a couple of these vids again and they make me laugh every time. Well it's a good way to start my day with a good joke.

I have one thing to ask of you Compu-smart, from an outside perspect do you think that this candidate for US Pres. is a good pick?

I can be succinct when I need to be, lol. And no, not scared of him. Frustrated maybe. He's not half as bad as he gets charged with being in most of the stuff he gets called out on, and he's twice as bad on the rest. But, he's like religion, can't really go into it or people start writing novels, mostly against. No sense stirring it up now, he's out of here in four months or so.

Dottie1 profile image

Shadesbreath you ran out of here pretty fast. I've never known you for a loss of words. Are you scared of Dub-ya!

The laugh is on me. Bush has gotten me a hubpage penalty. I have been scrutinized with the hubpage authority. A request for review has been submitted and may take up to 72 hrs. to resolve.

Thanks to all for commenting.

Patty I just love Jay Leno and his pseudo game shows. Jay Leno and my husband attended the same high school in Andover, MA. Must wait though for hubpage official before I add anything more in fear of any criminal offence on my part. Bush I promise to hold my tongue for 72 hrs. but then you will be one sorry (I'll fill in the blank later???)!!!!!!!

Ahhh Evilpants, that's a load off my mind. I can vote for you with a clear conscience now:-) But can you pronounce Nuclear properly after several Long Island Iced Teas??? Inquiring minds want to know LOL

Well Robie2, there's your answer. Should we call it close enough? That statement B.T. used "well, you know what I mean"...hmmmm...do I smell a copycat?

B.T. - thanks for responding. Just wondering, u got any Jed Beer?

B.T. Evilpants profile image

B.T. Evilpants 8 years ago from Hell, MI

Just so you know, I hve no problem pronouncing the word nucular. Uncular? Knucklewar? Well, you know what I mean. As far as the drinking issue, I once drank my weight in Billy Beer. That was a loooong night. It's been nothing but iced tea, ever since. They may be of the Long Island variety, but that counts, right?

Dottie1 profile image

Dottie1 8 years ago from MA, USA Author

Hysterical isn't it robie2? It won't be long now, oh Lord, it won't be long now! I'm on my way to B.T.'s site to get this question answered about the drinking and the pronouciation. Great questions and keep laughing. See ya around. ~Dottie~

Ogmygod, Dottie. I'm not laughing I'm crying. This is the idiot who is busy playing Texas gunslinger these days with Vladimir Putin and it's not a pretty picture. How long, oh Lord, how long??????

Evilpants is looking good. How much does he drink and can he pronounce the word nuclear?

Lady Luthi that is a great question that I too had concern about and addressed it to B.T on his hub. Check out the comments in his hub and also look at B.T.'s comment just below yours. He has some good answers to our concerns.

Your welcome B.T. I added your link to my hub and just to be fair to all Candidates for President, I had to also add William P. Torpey. I see you have competition running alongside you now. Good Luck to you both! May the best man or jackalope win!

This hub has sparked some interesting comments our president. Personally, I don't resent him in any way, but I strongly disagree with his policies and flip-flop behavior. I don't think I've ever been so excited about the presidential election. Why? I know the result will be Bush out of office because he's termed out.Woohooo! Now my only problem is who to vote for. Ce La Vie.

Dottie1 profile image

Bush lost in 2000, and there were a few questionable vote counts (e.g., Ohio) in 2004.  So the word "elected" might just not apply here.

Which doesn't help much with the embarrassment thing, let alone the democracy thing.

Thanks for the great Hub, Dottie!

t.keeley profile image

t.keeley 8 years ago from Seattle, WA

Correction, Talent (a good one): if Bush hadn't won in the first place, it's a good bet we would never have experienced him at all!

talented_ink profile image

talented_ink 8 years ago from USA

T. Keeley was right because Bush won the popular vote by 3%. So even if it wasn't for the electoral college, we still would have suffered 4 more years of Bush.

t.keeley profile image

t.keeley 8 years ago from Seattle, WA

I think Bush beat Kerry in popular vote. He didn't however beat Gore. Electoral college, for all its fauts, is the last straw standing in our republic. Other than that we could be considered an all-out democracy...of which I am not a fan of (nor am I of a republik, either).

jreuter profile image

jreuter 8 years ago from Portland, Oregon

ouch. I'm one of the those rare Americans who try to support the president despite how much I may disagree with their policies, but it's gotten to the point where I can't even watch him talk any more. I just cringe with embarassment. You'd think that after two terms Bush would have some serious public speaking skills...but, no, that's just not the case.

Dottie1 profile image

Dottie1 8 years ago from MA, USA Author

Talented_Ink this is so very true and I'm thinking there are lots of great names to call this hub. That could be a hub in itself. Your comments are appreciated. :) ~Dottie~

Lady Luthi I checked out your hub and added link to this hub. Hope you don't mind! There is a lot more to be added to this hub but because of all the videos it's running slow so I have to work on that first. Thank so much for your dropping by.

Yes, this is funny but also very sad. This hub could also be named The great misadventures of our electoral college since if it wasn't for them, the popular vote would have elected Kerry in 2004.

Very very funny. It's actually sort of sad. I'm sure someone will make excuses for him in some way...but the whole Bin Laden oxymornic switch he pulled in 2002. That's just plain sad.
