Jeannie is a huge fan of Halloween and loves everything that is ghoulish. You can often find her reading or writing horror stories.

Beavis and Butt-Head Are Back!

Great news! If you haven't heard already, two of the greatest cartoon characters ever are returning to MTV on October 27th - Beavis and Butt-Head! This is obviously terrific news for those of us that loved the antics of those crazy kids back in the 1990s. What better way to celebrate this most joyous occasion than dressing up like Beavis and Butt-Head this Halloween?

The most important thing you will need to pull of this look for Halloween is to have a friend that is just as goofy as you. Once you and a friend decide on being Beavis and Butt-Head for Halloween, the most crucial decision still looms ahead... who is going to be Beavis and who is going to be Butt-Head? Hopefully, this decision will be a no-brainer. If one of you is a blonde and the other is a brunette, this worked out well. If not, well, looks like you two are going to have to fight it out Beavis and Butt-Head style. Once the decision is made, you are ready to create the costumes.

Beavis

Beavis is the blonde fellow with the deep voice in the pair. He is often seen wearing a Metallica t-shirt in the show. Basically, all you really need for a Beavis look is some puffy blonde hair and a Metallica shirt. You might want to start practicing your laugh, too.

What makes Beavis stand out is his alter ego, the Great Cornholio. Sometimes Beavis just simply snaps. He puts his shirt over his head and begins screaming, "I need TP for my bunghole!" I am not really sure why Beavis ever needs TP for his bunghole, but when he needs it, people listen. You can also try going for that look this Halloween. Being the Great Cornholio this Halloween is bound to get some laughs.

Butt-Head

Butt-Head is the wiser of the two (if that is possible) and the brunette. In general, he is usually the best character to be for Halloween since he is usually in charge of things on the show. Beavis usually just follows Butt-Head's lead.

To really look like Butt-Head, hopefully you have brown or dark brown hair. Puff that hair up a little on your head. You should also wear an AC/DC t-shirt. If possible, wear braces on your teeth. If you don't wear braces, see what you can do about getting some fake braces. It will really take the look to the next level.

Make sure to practice laughing with your buddy, Beavis. You two will be ready to hit every Halloween party in town. Everyone can celebrate Beavis and Butt-Head's return to TV!

Beavis and Butt-Head Masks

In case you don't look anything like Beavis and Butt-Head at all (and trust me, that is a compliment), you might need to purchase some masks. Amazon has a number of Beavis and Butt-Head masks on sale on their site, so you will have no problem looking just like them.

You can also purchase real AC/DC and Metallica shirts online, as well. Due to licensing issues, Beavis and Butt-Head were not always allowed to wear those shirts in posters and other promotional items. Instead, they often wore shirts with fake band names like Skull or Death Rock. Yes, even those shirts are available online, too! What is even better, you can buy outfits that include the masks, shirt, and shorts. You won't even have to think at all this Halloween! And isn't that really the way Beavis and Butt-Head would do it?

Happy Halloween!
