We all know the residents of Albert Square are weary of Ronnie Branning but little do they know its Michael Moon they should be keeping their eyes on. In recent weeks we have seen Michael's obsession with Ronnie become more and more disturbing, and when Ronnie rejects his advances and warns him to stay away, Michael is out for revenge.

In Michael's twisted mind, if he cant have Ronnie then no one can, and he starts to turn everyone against her by making them all think that Ronnie is planning to snatch Baby Tommy again. First Michael tells Kat and Alfie that he has just seen Ronnie running away from the pub after Jay and Abi break in, then he plants Danielle's locket in Tommy's pram leaving Jack and Roxy doubting her innocence, but nothing compares to Michael's final and most damaging act.

SchemingMichael offers to take Tommy out for a walk, he then leaves Tommy in the park and sends Ronnie a text message from Roxy's phone saying "ok lets talk, i am in the park with Amy meet me there, Roxy x", however when Ronnie arrives she finds Tommy crying in his pram unattended. As Ronnie picks Tommy up to comfort him, Michael arrives followed by Kat and Alfie, who have just been called by Michael. A shocked Ronnie realising she has been set up, and begs Kat and Alfie to listen to her telling them that she has been set up. However once Tommy is safely in Alfie's arms Kat slaps Ronnie and tells her that she hopes she rots in jail, Ronnie tells Kat that they are very similar, she then aks for Kat's forgiveness telling her "My baby's dead Kat." But Kat tells Ronnie that she will never forgive her.

Ronnie runs straight into Roxy's and tries to tell her what Michael is doing but Roxy refuses to believe her, so Ronnie attempts to show her the text she received from Roxy's phone, but Roxy just pushes the phone to the floor and tells her sister she never wants to set eyes on her again, a hurt Ronnie gives Roxy her locket and tells her that she swears on Danielle's grave that she's telling the truth. After Ronnie walks off a curious Roxy picks the phone up and is shocked to see her sister was telling the truth about the text, and she storms straight over to the pub. Roxy finds Michael waiting for the Police along with Kat and Alfie, Roxy confronts Michael with the evidence and makes him confess all, and when Michael admits to setting Ronnie up, a hurt Roxy dumps him on the spot and wastes no time in telling Kat and Alfie exactly what Michael has been up to.

Kat is stunned that Michael would put his own son in the position that he did and it gives her food for thought. Meanwhile Jack is livid when he hears that Michael has been targeting his wife and punches Michael but stops when he see's the Police coming out of the pub.

While all this is going on, Ronnie is making her own way to court, Jack catches up with Ronnie and begs her to run away to Mexico with him and although Ronnie previously considered it she knows that she needs to be punished for her crime and tells Jack that he needs to let her go. Once in court Kat's defence reads out her victim statement, which has been previously written by an angry Kat. The statement says that Ronnie stole her baby and then flaunted him in their face, it then went on to say that Ronnie was laughing at her when she was mourning the loss of her Son, Roxy stands up and shouts at Kat for telling these lies and when Roxy's anger grows she finds herself in contempt of court. Next it is time for Ronnie's defence to be heard but Ronnie stops him from talking, telling the Judge that she doesn't want any excuses made. With nothing left to hear the Judge goes straight to sentencing............The Judge says that although Ronnie's history is tragic it doesn't excuse what she put another family through, and so sentenced Ronnie to three years in prison.

Kat's expression changes and she stands up and shouts to the Judge, "This isn't right, I don't want her to go to prison, you can't send her to prison she has just lost her baby." The Judge informs Kat that the sentencing has already been passed. Kat then runs over to Ronnie and tells her that she doesn't want her to go to prison, and that she was right and they are the same, Kat then holds her hand up to the glass, and as Ronnie presses her hand up to meet Kat's, Kat says "I forgive you" and Ronnie smiles. On her way down to the holding cells, Ronnie see's Roxy and tells her "You will be fine without me, it's always been you looking after me all these years, not the other way round". They then both say "Mitchell sisters forever" and as they hug goodbye, Roxy puts the locket back in Ronnie's hand. Eastenders then ends with Ronnie sat smiling in the holding cell, she opens up the locket and there is a photo inside of Baby James. Goodbye Ronnie, see you when you get out, as Samantha Womack has already hinted that Ronnie will be back in the future.

Don't forget Eastenders hour long episode on BBC1 Thursday 7th July at 7.30pm-8.30pm and the repeat on BBC3 10pm-11pm.
