 Traveling across the country I have had the honors of seeing impersonators and have always been intrigued by the way they must spend countless hours practicing and choreographing there show. A few have disappointed and I have walked away realizing that we wasted our money on a person or persons that were not prepared nor were they talented enough to make anyone believe for even a second that they sounded like the original artist.

Recently I had the honors of seeing a show that not only captivated my attention but was amazed when he approached the stage ,started singing and thought for the entire time that not only was I seeing Elvis, but I was listening to Elvis too. It was just like moving through a time machine, the only thing different was that I was to young when Elvis was alive to see the man himself, but this time I was placed into a time warp and I honestly believed that I had seen the man in person, live on stage and had quite a memorable time.   

Charlie Franks has been impersonating Elvis since he has been a young boy, not only can he impersonate Elvis with precision he can also impersonate over 100 other celebrities. He is passionate about his work and his following is quite large as his fans continue to grow.

Briefly taking the time to sit and speak with him, I was intrigued by his mannerisms and sense of humor. He was as sincere off stage as he as when he impersonated Elvis on stage. In the years that many of us have seen an Elvis impersonator , Elvis would have been proud knowing that someone was able to walk in his shoes not only by impersonation but also by looks.
