Into The Garden of Photography

Strolling though a garden can inspire a photographer to capture the natural beauty of vegetation. There is something very serene about gazing at vibrant flowers and verdant colors of lettuce leaves as a person strolls down a garden path, and photographs are a great way to share the love of gardening with others. Tomatoes and bean stalks are also amazing to photograph in a mountain garden, and it is amusing to watch curious cats scampering around among the shadows of the vegetation. So what garden adventures did I photograph of this tranquil summer day? Come with me to see what my camera lens spotted.

There are many exquisite varieties of plants and flowers you can photograph in a large garden. Just look around and take pictures of the greenery you find inspiring.

Tomatoes, scallions and lettuce growing in the garden will all make delightful ingredients in a delicious salad. Actually, I like to use scallions primarily for cooking, but the vibrant colors of these fruits and vegetables taste and look beautiful in any fresh garden salad. Just think of how much they charge for such a salad at a high end restaurant, and how much money you can save by growing these ingredients in your own garden.

These are all such beautiful pictures, each in its own way! Some natural, some man-made, and some exuding the personality of the cat in question.

I also like your opening paragraph. It really sets the mood!

Lovely pics, Sweetie Pie. Thank you for sharing them with us. You're going to have a wonderful batch of tomatoes on the vine. I've never seen the patty squash. They look very good; it makes me wonder how they taste! The flower photos are lovely as well. And the cat!

Hi Aya,

I really appreciate your comments! This hub had been lingering in my to be published file until yesterday, so it was good to finally get it published.

Hi Paradise,

Thanks, these are photographs I took up in the mountains in my parents garden. Patty pan squash tastes similar to zucchini and other summer squashes, and you probably can find it at the market around that time of year.

Eiddwen,

Really appreciate your comments! These pictures were taken in my mom's garden, but I love looking at the cats scampering around there. It is very meditative.

Nice gardens Sweetie Pie. But the kitties take the prize. I miss mine, who are still in Oregon. The work you have put into the earth is apparent. Thanks for sharing. Gives me some ideas to share with a friend who approached me today about her plan her gardens for the up-coming season. Thankyou for sharing.

That is a very good bit of photography SweetiePie. Well done. I am starting to do a bit myself although early results leave a lot to be desired.
