George Benson, "Is a real pro and that's what real pros do. They know how to put on a real show," explained Jerry Blake, enthusiastically of Point Blank jazz band. Benson has created a pinnacle of major hits such as Breezin, This Masquerade, On Broadway, Give Me the Night, #The Greatest and In Your Eyes. He became a professional guitarist as a teen. Such legendaries as Wes Montgomery and Quincy Jones were his mentors. The great #Miles Davis once expressed to Benson, "You're the baddest guitar player in the world." #George Benson has remained a zenith of pure jazz, through his Grammy Award-winning vocals and musical talent. Some jazz professionals have called Benson's major hit Breezin. "the thriller of jazz music." Benson, also acknowledged that Breezin, "It's the best-selling jazz album of all time." It is not only jazz that he surges in but also R&B, pop, rock, fusion and whatever inestimable market, he chooses to appeal.
George Benson evolved from a kid who served in reform school, to a multi-talented, God-fearing individual. Baptized as a #Jehovah's Witness in 1979, Benson has been determined to love and serve his Heavenly Father Jehovah. During his performance, Benson went on to talk about God's kingdom in the future by stating, "We all know what is going on with that faithful and discreet slave. That government is intact." He then talked about how Jesus "walked the planet as we walk it today." Benson, humbly commended some members of the audience, on their effective preaching and teaching work like Jesus did, which is going on all over the earth. The audience graciously responded with applause to Benson's comment. The lights suddenly lowered and in a genuinely tender moment, he dedicated the song, In Your Eyes, to a spiritual brother. Benson slowly and magnificently sang the words, "I can see my reflection."
This incredibly talented performer sang numerous other hits such as, Turn Your Love Around, I Feel Like Making Love, The Ghetto, Danny Boy and Give Me the Night which brought the audience to their feet. Benson is backed up by an exceptionally talented group of musicians. His band was on point. Sweat poured from his brows but an astute determination to give his audience the very best show is a trademark for George Benson. He is genuinely an aficionado of great music which has inspired Benson to walk in the footsteps of such musicians as Nat Cole, #The Beatles, Donnie Hathaway, Ray Charles, Minnie Riperton, and Quincy Jones. After travels throughout North America, Europe, and the Pacific Rim, in various festivals, Benson released his fourth album under Concord Records entitled, #Inspiration: A Tribute to Nat King Cole. This CD packed with mind-blowing songs such as Mona Lisa, Unforgettable and When I Fall In Love. Benson's voice is so similar to Nat King Cole's it is stupefying. George Benson is a magnificent entertainer that music lovers must see in a live performance.

She has worked with Rick Coley, of NTE for numerous years. A taste of comedy started the evening through Rachman's performance. The Songbird, Sheila Coley, graced the stage in a stunning red, one shoulder, designer dress. She performed songs from her Boundless album, with backup dancers on her favorite hit song Move With You. Sheila, also sang Home, included in a video toward the end of this article. The Intruders enhanced the evening. This talented group of Philadelphia International uplifted the audience with an array of amazing hits such as When We Get Married, I Wanna Know Your Name, I'll Always Love My Momma and #Cowboys and Girls.
The promoters of this show were determined to give audience members their money's worth. Promoters Rick Coley, John Dais Clean Productions and Tony Goodman also lovingly, decided to give some free tickets to the elderly, friends with financial difficulties and hard working brothers and sisters within the Christian congregation. Two recipients of these tickets were Marcella and Ivy, both spiritual sisters of Brother Benson. Marcella, an audience member, explained that Benson, "was dancing like nobody was watching. It was encouraging how he mentioned Jehovah's servants, the discreet slave." Steve Pratt, of Point Blank jazz band, also mentioned how, "George Benson, inspired me to play guitar. This type of format is really good. When he is in a concert, this seems more intimate and he communicates with the audience. He plays lead guitar and is picking and scatting. I feel that is rare." Chante Coleman explained, "George Benson, influenced my children to play. They were inspired to play guitars because of him." Paulette Blake, the mother of Chante Coleman, expressed how her grandchildren from the ages of nine to sixteen, love Benson and started to play guitars as well because they admire this multi-talented artist.
