Hey Hey Little Davy

Hey hey little Davy
Guess that was the last train
But you forgot to say goodbye to Jean
Now she’s crying herself to sleep
Who will kiss the homecoming queen?

Hey hey little Davy
We’re still the young generation
And this is what we have to say
We wanted to be just like you
Now you’ve gone away

Hey hey little Davy
We’re still messing around
Following in your footstep
We hopped on those stones
While we ate our breakfast

Hey hey little Davy
We loved you as children
We always were your believer
We'll never forget your face
You gave us Saturday morning fever

Hi Flora - I think everybody loved him... he just had that happiness all around him. I watched it every Saturday morning as a child. Never missed it....

Hi Mark,

You created a nice tribute hub to Davy. I'll have to write a fan letter to the Monkees one day soon.

I can still remember when he kissed Marsha on the Brady Bunch. The Monkees were such a favorite part of my childhood. I shared "Daydream Believer" on Facebook. He will be greatly missed. Thanks for creating such a warm tribute.

Hi Sunshine...thank you and yes you should write that letter...

@rtburroughs - I bet Marsha (Maureen McCormick) remembered that kiss! I think she didn't wash her face for a long time after that one... ha.. thank you for commenting and following me.

When I heard it was a geat sense of remorse, not only because he's gone, but yet another link to my past is removed. I feel suddenly old . .

Thank you for sharing.
