Hollywood's Golden Boy- Ryan Reynolds

Biography

Born October 23, 1976 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Ryan knew at an early age that he wanted to act. In spite of the fact that he failed an acting class at 12, he continued to pursue this passion, and landed a role on a children's television show two years later. He moved to Florida to star in Fifteen for Nickelodeon, where he stayed until the show's ending in 1991.

After returning to Vancouver, Ryan appeared in several television shows, as well as a few movies of the week. His career was building, but slowly. In his frustration, Ryan relocated to Hollywood, California with long time friend Chris Martin. The two shared cheep motel rooms, living hand to mouth until Ryan's big break: the role of Berg in Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place.

From the moment he read for Two Guys, Ryan's star was steadily rising. Landing one role after another, his real “big break” was in 2001. Ryan Reynolds became a household name after playing the title character in the raunchy college comedy Van Wilder.

While he is quite obviously an Adonis, you can find great looking men everywhere you turn in Hollywood. What makes Ryan special isn't his appearance, it's his ability to draw you in and make you connect emotionally to his characters; to identify with them, care about them. Though this trait is most apparent in movies like Definitely, Maybe, and School of Life, you can even see it in his more action packed films. Ryan brings a unique perspective to each performance.

As for his love life, Ryan is, sadly, married. Shortly after ending a long time romance with Canadian singer Alanis Morissette, he began dating Scarlet Johannson. The two were married in September, 2008 before divorcing in 2011. Ryan finally settled down for good with Blake Lively, marrying in 2012. The couple welcomed daughter James to the world in December, 2015.
