Have you ever wanted to visit a house you've seen in a film? The Home Alone house is quite a popular film location you can drive past and see for yourself as it's a real house! As most of the filming in Home Alone was filmed inside the house, film fans really got to know the Home Alone house quite well.

The film starred a young Macauley Culkin (who is 30 now!!), playing the part of a young boy whose parents accidentally left him at home when they packed up and left to go on a Christmas Vacation. A couple of hapless burglars wanted to break in to burgle the house and the film centres around Kevin's hilarious attempts to thwart them.

He rigged up silhouettes and lamps around the house so it looked like there were people in, he boobytrapped the stairs... and more!

Home Alone Is a Popular Xmas Movie

Home Alone is always on the television at Xmas. it's a very popular Xmas movie for all the family. A sure fire hit no matter who you have invited over!

There are few photos of the inside of the Home Alone house, there was a website with some on, but it was sold.

The photos on that site were taken by a friend of mine when they were allowed to look around the Home Alone House. They managed to take photos that matched some of the film footage, including:

  • The full frontage
  • The stairs
  • Kevin in front of the huge fireplace
  • The door Kevin shot through to escape.... and MORE.

Below is a map to the Home Alone house, so if you're passing maybe you can swing by and take a few outside snaps yourself!
