Indian Actresses 5 - Bollywood and More
Jacqueline Fernandez, Hansika Motwani, Hema Malini, Juhi Chawla and more.
Here is my fifth article in my series on the women of Indian cinema.
Like the others, this features women from not only Bollywood, but Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada cinema as well.
This time we have a couple of actresses that have appeared in over 500 films during their careers, which is no small feat.
So let's start out with perhaps the youngest actress I have put in any of these articles.....
Hansika Motwani may very well be the youngest actress that I have done a write up on here.
She was born on August 9th, 1991 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.
Hansika made her TV acting debut in 1999 (yes at the tender age of eight) in "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi".
She made her big screen debut in 2003's "Escape from Taliban" (based on the story of Sushmita Bandhopadhya, who had fled Afghanistan in 1995).
Hansika has appeared in a total of seven TV shows, and so far over twenty Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films.
Besides acting, Hansika is a huge philanthropist.
She supports underprivileged children and has paid for the treatment of many, many cancer patients.
Hansika is also the Ambassador of the "Chennai turns Pink" breast cancer awareness program.
She has done so much for the people of Madurai, Tamil Nadu, that they actually built a temple for her.
