Jamaica Reggae Artist Christopher "Chris" Martin
Christopher Martin Bio
Christopher Martin otherwise known as Chris Martin is one of Jamaica's leading reggae artists. Christopher Martin won the Digicel Rising Star competition in 2005 and his career has escalated since. After winning the competition he has been on an upward climb and has not looked back. Not only is he a singer but he also writes his own lyrics.
Christopher Martin was born to parents Cleveland and Maxine Martin in the parish of St. Catherine on Valentine's Day 1987, in a community called Back Pastures. From an early age Christopher wowed others with his his silky smooth voice at Watermount All-Age School where he attended. Chris went on to attend St. Jago High School where he further developed his love for music and sports.
When he entered the Digicel Rising Star competition in 2005 there was little doubt that he would have won. From the beginning of the competition he wooed the judges and his audience with hit after hit in his smooth melodic voice.
Moving from the shy young man from the competition he has become an artist that likes to bare his muscled torso on the stage while gyrating and moving his hips to the rhythm of the music. This would drive his audiences wild. He went on to win the Digicel Rising Stars competition and became one of the most loved and popular singers in his own right. Further to this, Chris Martin set the place on fire when he participated in the Digicel’s Christmas promotions in 2005.
No stopping this star, he poured out his heart and soul into hits after hits. Here is a list of some of his songs:

Another Chris Martin song
One of Christopher most popular songs was recently the source of controversy with the church as many Christians believed that a prayer should not be the subject of song that encourages carnal behavior.
What's the big deal anyway. The song states that there are many temptations out through beautiful women and he asks God to keep him from making a big mistake that might cause him his relationship.
Well, the church didn't see it that way and came out lashing the song. Of course the voice of the church had no real impact on the popularity of the song and only seemed to have drawn more attention to it.
Christopher's smooth silky voice is captured in this pop style reggae dance-hall song that appeals to the opposite sex. The song states that every girl he talks to are fashionable and full of style.
This artiste is worth listening to because he is on his way to become even a bigger superstar than he is right now. The heat is on and Christopher Martin is one of the hottest Jamaican artistes in demand right now. Spicy!
