Jessie J Music Style

Updated on May 30, 2016

British Songwriter and American Performer

Recently she performed on SNL a song from her new single called Price Tag with a feat from B.O.B.

After hearing the song streaming on internet radio, I really liked it, really good and makes you want to get up and dance.

Her live singing gives her listeners hope that there is no need for lip synch which so many music artist to often rely upon when performing on stage.

The thing that stands out the most about this young songstress is her energy and fresh style.

The symmetric dark hair and bold red lips reminds me of Pauley Perrette from NCIS which is really cool.

Jessie J's debut album is going to be a sure hit with american audiences and I can't wait to see her go on Tour.

I think she has what it takes to compete with the other famous female pop stars on the scene today.

Jessie J working hard to be Different

In a world of entertainment it is easy to see similarities between famous celebrites.

My guess is that hollywood has a type and they are so used to placing people into a mold. If a person is too different than they do not fit in very well.

Competition between Female Popstars

It is good for her since the competition between female singers is pretty stiff.

There are some heavy hitters on the billboards from Rhianna,Katy Perry, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Jessica Simpson, Kei$ha and many more.

Many famous pop singers do not last for very long and the industry burns through them pretty quickly, if they are smart they can build a business by branding themselves. Jessie J has an advantage because she writes songs for leading artists too.

Jessie J looks like Abby Sciuto from NCIS

Today many artist are trying to be different and it gets pretty hard to stand out.

Most celebrity stylist and makeup artist like to give the musicians a look that is trendy or that is hot for the moment.

Just look at the actress Pauley Perrette who to me looks a lot like Jessie J's celebrity look-a-like.

It could not be on purpose but my guess is that hollywood stylist are all following the same trends.

In the case with Jessie J she just happens to have the right look and the right sound for the music business.

Social Media Influence and Music Artist Popularity

Social media is the determining factor on how popular a recording artist is. Record sales can help but does not have as much weight as it used to.

How many downloads are calculated on iTunes as well as how many views the singer's music video is viewed on Youtube.

The influence and the power of Twitter makes every action a celebrity makes instant news, so performers have pressure to stay fresh and new online.

Trendy Outfits

You can see this pop stars edgy look and favorite colors black and red. She is a true rock star with soul.

At London fashion week she wore a attention getting bodysuit on the red carpet. Her popculture green high pumps and metallic leaves left the audience entertained.

Jessie J Makeup Trends

The british rock and roll pop star has an unusual look and is sporting some trendy makeup. Pink lipstick and smokey eye makeup to die for.

Her fringe bang is unmistakenly her style that gives emphasis on her eyes. It has been the look that her fans can recognize from her quirky style. Black eyeliner is an everyday favorite as well as wearing hot red or other bright lip color.

Fresh faced and natural does not seem to be the way many solo artists or entertainers keep their stage looks. We get used to seeing them all dolled up all the time that it can be shocking to see them otherwise.

But a pop star has to have a day off sometimes. It must be challenging to always be in character for the paparazzi who love to take pictures of celebrities when they are not expecting it.

Her single from her album has gone straight to number one on the UK charts including, ireland and new zealand.

Watch Jessie J at the iTunes Festival

The festival will take place in London and you will be able to see the pop songstress perform her hit song "Price Tag".

The free event will be at the Roadhouse this summer. One of my favorite up and coming stars Adele will be playing at the event as well.
