Jokers of Old

Remember When

I was just thinking about the old days. When we watched a black and white television,if you could afford one.

The comedians were wonderful! The jokes they told were all clean.I'm going to list down my favorites;or some anyway.

Laugh In

I was addicted to this show. They had so many greats on here.Ruth Buzzi,Sammy Davis Jr.,Flip Wilson just to name a few.The jokes were great. Here's a clip of Laugh In.

Bob Hope

I could listen to the joking style of Bob Hope all the time. Here is a few of his jokes

I was out in the garden all day yesterday.. I ironed the lawn... smoothed out the grass... put every blade in it's place...

and I still missed the putt anyway.

(ca. 1948)

I bought a horse with four other guys... I don't know which of it belongs to me... but I think it's the part you don't put the two dollars on.

Well, we're coming up on June, the month of weddings. You know marriage is making a big comeback. I know personally that in Hollywood people are marrying people they never married before. (5/25/1982)

Green Acres

Here is another show Mom couldn't pull me away from.Green Acres with Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor. The joking on that show kept me rolling.

Red Skelton

This man could joke with the best.I would get tired of my Dad telling Red Skelton jokes. Here's a video of Skelton that I think is great!

I Love Lucy

As a family,we would always watch Lucille Ball in I Love Lucy.It was hilarious! No matter what Lucy could pull a joke out of her hat.

I know there are many, many more comedians I could add here.I loved the days of the clean jokes. Hope you all enjoyed the hub.Have a great day!!!

Great hub Froggy213. You're right, those were some good clean comedy shows. I remember laughing ........ (hard) laughing, side busting laughing. Thanks for reminding me.
