Kites is a mega budget bollywood movie. Has already made it to the Cannes film festival.

It is expected to release worldwide in Hindi and English versions on 21st May, 2010, in over 60 nations. This movie has world rights valued at $ 25 million.

Kites is a romantic thriller story that crosses the linguistic barriers, cultures and civilizations. A story that defies every rule of a relationship, immersing two lovers into an exciting journey filled with precious moments, followed by a sudden betrayal.

Starring - Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori in lead roles. Kangana Ranaut, Luce Rains, Kabir Bedi and Nick Brown are in the co-starring. In this movie, Jaya Roshan, Hrithik Roshan’s real life mother plays his mother.

Producer of the movie is Rakesh Roshan and the director is Anurag Bose.

The Romantic affair story is shot in Las Vegas , Los Angeles and Santa Fe. Hrithik plays the role of a man by name Jay. He is a Salsa teacher. Barbara Mori, plays as Nathasha. Nathasha is engaged to another man, but jay wants to marry her anyway. Loving her brings a lot of trouble to Jay. But he doesn’t care. He takes everything lightly. Nathasha speaks in Spanish. But Jay speaks Hindi. They don’t even know each other’s language. Then how did they fall in love? That’s quite interesting.


Mexican hottie Barbara and Hrithik

The Mexican hottie Barbara Mori and hero Hrithik Roshan  have produced some hot scenes during their deep romance. Kangana Ranaut adds pepper and salt to the Hrithik-Brabara love story. She is Hrithik’s dance student. She plays a very rich girl. She steps in when Barbara and Hrithik are forced to split.

Hrithik goes mad for love

Hrithik becomes desperate and mad for love. A mortally wounded person goes in search of his lost love in the harsh terrain of the Mexican desert. Heat of the desert sun and the heat of love almost kill this young man. But it becomes challenging to him until he finds Barbara Mori.

Film has some magnificent and superb dances by Hrithik, Barbara and Kangana.

The movie ‘s distribution rights have been sold to Reliance big pictures for Rs. 150 crores, which is a record till date for Bollywood. The movie production within USA was totally handled by the Bollywood Hollywood production, the line producer being Prashanth Shah.

The film sound track, music director is Irshad Alam and Kanika Arya. Motion picture photography is done by Ayananka Bose and stunt co-ordination by Spiro Razatos.

The choreography in the dance songs is done by Flexy stu, a renowned American choreographer. And the remaining one song which was shot in Mumbai, Farah Khan did the choreography. The international version of this film has been edited by Hollywood’s Brutt Ratner.

So, in the month of May, 2010… Kites will fly all over the world!

Spasz....this movie was produced by Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik's dad. Was a good movie but has failed to reached the expectation level of Hrithik's fans.
