Lady Gaga Gags Moshi Monsters over The Moshi Dance Video

Updated on June 30, 2012

Pop diva Lady Gaga has issued an injunction at London's High Court to stop children's favorites, the Moshi Monsters, from releasing a music single The Moshi Dance.

The reason she has taken this action is because one of the Moshi characters is a baby named Lady Goo Goo which Lady Gaga seems to think would be a copyright infringement on her name.

Moshi makers, Mind Candy, have issued a statement saying that kids will be hugely dispappointed over this injunction which has forced them to remove The Moshi Dance from Youtube, and that children could quite easily discern the difference between a Moshi character and Lady Gaga herself.

The Moshi Monsters have their own safe online social networking group for kids ages 6 - 12, and consists of collectible doll characters, including Lady Goo Goo, Jeepers and Roxy.

The closely monitored site has been dubbed "Facebook for Children", and the kids interact with the Moshi Monster Moshlings, the cute toys they can collect, and play with online.

Lawyers acting on behalf of the singer have refused to comment further, but the injunction prevents Mind Candy from "promoting, advertising, selling, distributing or otherwise making available to the public The Moshi Dance",

and also prevents them from

"promoting, advertising, selling, distributing or otherwise making available to the public any musical work or video which purports to be performed by a character by the name of Lady Goo Goo, or which otherwise uses the name Lady Goo Goo or any variant thereon".

Mind Candy may in the end be left with no alternative but to kill off the popular character Lady Goo Goo which will leave many children in tears, if they are to go forward with plans to extend their product with the release of videos in time for the Christmas market.

Song lyrics on the video included "my stroller's pretty and my diapers are silk, I throw my toys out if I don't get my milk" and my "crazy outfits seem to shock", and was due to be released on iTunes.
