Lara Fabian "Le Secret" In April 2013
New Album For The Francophone
Lara Fabian's upcoming musical release, officially titled Le Secret, finally has a release date. The singer announced in September that the album would be out in April 2013, preceded by a single that would be made available in January. An international production team is working with Lara on Le Secret, although the album is expected to only, or mostly, include songs written in French.
Perhaps to do justice to the album's title, details concerning it remain relatively vague. However, it is confirmed that a new tour supporting the album is being prepared and will begin in September 2013. At least two songs that are included in the tracklist have already been presented live in select concerts since 2010: "Mirage" and the homonymous "Le Secret". It is rumored that the latter will be the official single scheduled for release.

A Return to Form
With this new album, Lara Fabian intends to return to the vocally intense interpretations that skyrocketed her to fame in the early stages of her career. Songs such as "Je T'Aime" and "Tout", or, in English, "Adagio", "I Will Love Again" and "Broken Vow" remain staples of Lara Fabian's vocal prowess and interpretive abilities. However, it is worth noting that those same attributes were the source of a considerable and long-lasting media backlash in France, where Fabian was ridiculed as a shouty, overly dramatic persona.
A noticeably more subtle and fine-tuned performer emerged from that wave of criticism, but true artistic freedom was only rediscovered in Eastern Europe, a region in which a very welcoming audience carried Fabian in a new direction, marked by the release of Mademoiselle Zhivago, a shared project between herself and the Russian composer Igor Krutoy. Now, the singer plans to return to her francophone roots with the same creative mindset, promising a unique, but powerful, set of new songs.
Before "Le Secret", "The Best" of Lara Fabian in Concert
While still preparing "Le Secret", since October 5th, 2012, Lara Fabian has been performing throughout Russia and Ukraine in the context of a new tour called "The Best". An intense media frenzy has been surrounding the concerts, along with a great deal of anticipation from the fans, who are being able to see and hear Fabian live in diverse Russian and Ukrainian cities never before visited by the star. Accompanied by a long standing team of 9 people in an intimate acoustic setting, concertgoers have been able to listen to both ancient and new songs from the singer's repertoire. A special reference shall be made to several Mademoiselle Zhivago's songs, stripped away of the larger-than-life philharmonic orchestras and dressed up with original acoustic arrangements.
The tour is scheduled to arrive to Kiev, Ukraine in October 27th and to the Kremlin, in Moscow, in November 24th, where Fabian will perform for three nights in a row (already sold out) due to extremely high demand. This is a reminder of the feat achieved in 2010, when Lara Fabian filled the Kremlin's seats for 4 consecutive nights while presenting Mademoiselle Zhivago for the first time. Meanwhile, several surprises have been made by fans in many concerts, enriching the overall musical experience.
If this tour can serve as the last source of inspiration for "Le Secret", judging by the warm reception and positive critiques, francophone fans are bound to be very pleased with what's coming for them in the future.
