Lily Cole: Could She Be the Most Adorable Redhead in the World?

Lily Cole was born May 19, 1988, in Torquay, a town in southwest England. She was one of three sisters and was raised by her mother, an artist and writer. At the tender age of 14, Lily was discovered in Soho, London, by Benjamin Hart. The young girl soon became one of the United Kingdom's most successful models.

Lily's sexy long legs and adorably innocent pout made her a natural for the modeling world. Designers love her because everything looks fantastic on this beautiful young woman. From swimsuits to evening gowns, jeans to business attire, Lily makes it all seem in style and the height of modern fashion. She has appeared in magazines such as Vogue and Elle and aroused a bit of controversy for a nude pictorial done for the French version of Playboy.

Lily has worked with designers from Christian Lacroix and Alexander McQueen to Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs and more. She has been featured in the advertising campaigns of Chanel, Anna Sui, Prada and many others. She has been an official spokesmodel for Rimmel London cosmetics. Her face has been seen in thousands of publications worldwide resulting in a dedicated fan base that simply cannot get enough of this enchanting goddess.

With that fan base firmly in place, it is no surprise Lily did not wait long to make the move to the movie screen. After scoring a minor role in St. Trinian's, Lily went on to star in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus as Valentina. She has had several film roles since, but will likely get her first real chance to shine in the role of Rose in Snow White and the Huntsman due out in 2012. Lily has stated she is ready to concentrate more on film work having reached the top of the modeling world. She is the type of girl who appreciates challenges.

With all this attention you would think that darling Lily would be a household name, but her star has yet to truly rise in the United States. It seems certain it is only a question of time, however, as America tends to pay more attention to its movie stars than its supermodels. With her talents reaching far beyond the end of the runway, Lily seems poised to conquer the world.

Lily's film career so far includes...

Snow White and the Huntsman (coming in 2012) as Rose

Confession of a Child of the Century (2011) as Elise

The Moth Diaries (2011) as Ernessa

There Be Dragons (2011) as Aline

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009) as Valentina

Rage (2009) as Lettuce Leaf

St. Trinian's (2007) as Polly

Lily's most mysterious role was playing the part of Alice in Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll. The film also starred goth rocker Marilyn Manson as Lewis Carroll and Evan Rachel Wood as Alice's alter-ego. The horrorific twist on Carroll's children's story was also directed by Manson but was shelved after completion due to poor reception to the trailer and other promotional material. Rumors have popped up now and then concerning an impending release, but so far no solid release date is known.

Whether Lily continues acting, chooses to return to modeling or pursues some other career path, she is destined to be one of the brightest stars of the future. This beautiful, talented girl has blossomed into womanhood and now stands ready to take the world by storm. Fans are lining up behind her and soon she will be one of the world's most popular stars.

Lily Cole is definitely a name to remember. But that will not be hard as you can be certain it is a name you will soon see a lot more of. Hers will be the name on the lips of everyone with an interest in films before long and the name that fans cannot forget. So why not be ahead of the crowd and check out Lily if you have not already.
