Lindsay Lohan's Court Appearance

On July 7, 2010 Lindsay Lohan had to appear in court for violating her probation. She first got put on probation back in 2007 for a DUI arrest, and she went to a fair share of rehabs...nothing seems to help.

Lindsay Lohan's Sentence

After the hearing, judge Revel sentenced Lindsay to 90 days in jail, and 90 days of inpatient rehab right after she finishes her jail time. The judge didn't accept Lindsay's pleas for leniency. The judge told Lindsay that she has to serve her time at Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwwod, CA, where she will stay in solitary confinement for the duration of her stay.

The sentencing was a surprise to Lindsay and her family. Her mother Dina told reporters that the ruling "is so not fair", Lindsay posted comments on Twitter, where she referred to the justice system as "perverted" and made several comments about her judge.

Those close to the 24 year old are very concerned about her current lifestyle. Her dad Michael said "Lindsay tested negative for illegal substances in her last six drug tests; this is because she is addicted to PRESCRIPTION DRUGS!!! So many doctors have prescribed her so many different drugs that she did NOT need. It's about rehabilitation - and you don't get rehabilitated in jail!"

According to her probation officer, she is currently taking Adderall, Diludid, and Zoloft, which she will continue taking while locked up.

Fair or Not?

Do you think Lindsay Lohan got a fair sentence?

Basically, what many judges are now doing, is sending a serious message... Meaning enough is enough.. Far too many people lose their lives due to drunken drivers, in this instance her celebrity status meant absolutely nothing... Imagine if someone was killed, then what? her life and career would be shattered, not to mention the innocent victim... I personally enjojed watching her movies, but we must think above that.

Celebrities use to get away with so much.. And people like many of us would say... wow! if you got money you can get away with just about anything... Slowly things begin to change.... It's time to wake up people when it comes to this...

I absolutely agree with you. I think celebrities think they can get away with any thing they want - and that shouldn't be the case. Thank you for your comment! :)

I think she should be treated the same as anybody. Whether she's a celebrity or a plumber or a homeless person living in a shelter.I say she got what she deserved

She's an addict, so I doubt that things are going to get any better before they get a lot worse.
