The world was shocked when John Lennon died thirty years ago December 8, 1980.
Today he is considered a legend, an icon - music and peace - plus a husband, father and a lover.
I can see how he loved Yoko Ono through all the videos, images and photographs and the interviews with Yoko Ono - about the life they shared together.
The love story between John Lennon and Yoko Ono was an open book. It was a nice love story to my mind. However not many people know about the story between May Pang and John Lennon.
May Pang is another woman whom John Lennon had a relationship with. John Lennon called it "The Lost Weekend".Their story was shared by May Pang through her books and interviews.

In memory of John Lennon's 30th death anniversary, lest we forget about his message of peace.
As if we still don't know that John Lennon is :
- named by Rolling Stone as the fifth greatest singer of all time
- named top 8th Greatest Britons - a survey conducted by the BBC in 2002
- sold almost 15 million singles in the US, he is responsible for the 27 considered Top 100 list in the US charts
- recognized and inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1987 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
The Relationship of May Pang and John Lennon
The relationship between May Pang and John Lennon started in 1973 and lasted for 18 months. To many who loved John Lennon, the fans were happy because it was during that time that John Lennon reconciled with his son Julian (son from his first marriage with Cynthia Powell - Lennon) whom he was estranged. May Pang was given the credit for it. Furthermore May Pang became friends with the Beatles gang again during that time as they all lived together in an apartment. May Pang are friends with Paul McCartney, Ringo et al until now.

Who is May Pang?
May Pang was born in New York, USA in 1950. Her parents immigrated to the US from China. She has a sister and an adopted brother. She attended college and worked as personal assistant to John and Yoko when she was 20 years old. The year was 1970 and she wanted to become a model at first, but later on worked in the music industry. Then, she met John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Looking at her photos, I reckon she is beautiful and young. She is smart, artistic and charming according to interviews about her.
May Pang wrote two books about her romantic relationship with John Lennon entitled :
- Loving John (Warner, 1983)
- plus a photograph kind of book - Instamatic Karma (St. Martins, 2008).
They had a relationship after Yoko Ono and John Lennon were having problems and decided to break up. According to the interview with May Pang, Yoko knew about them and that she called them everyday. Plus it was Yoko Ono's idea that John go out and be happy.
May Pang shared that they lived together for 18 months until Yoko and John got back together again.
May Pang's favorite album of John Lennon was "Walls and Bridges". They shared an apartment with other Beatles members. Until he died John Lennon communicated with May Pang and remained good friends and it was said that May Pang and John's first wife - Cynthia are much closer than Yoko and the first wife.
May Pang married after that and has two children.
She will always be a part of John Lennon's life John Lennon died while still married to Yoko Ono. John and Yoko had a son together, Sean Lennon.
