Medication

Medication

Medication

by Chuck RitenouR

1st verse:

Sally sits alone doesn't have too much to say

looking out the window as the day fades away

what caused her to tumble is anybody's guess

her life came unravelled from the pressure of the stress

chorus:

medication, she needs more medication

a few more weeks of relaxation and Sally'll be OK

she needs stronger medication worked into her equation

sweet chemical salvation in the light of a brand new day.

2nd verse:

Johnny has a problem his wife doesn't understand

he punched the wall, broke every bone in his hand

she reaches out to touch him to show how much she cares

he just stares off into the distance as if she isn't even there

chorus:

medication, he needs  more medication

a few more weeks of relaxation and Johnny'll be OK

he needs stronger medication worked into his equation

sweet chemical salvation in the light of a brand new day.

3rd verse:

So many people suffer, they suffer needlessly

Relief is just around the corner, anyone can see

there's a pill to calm the savage beast, one to chase the blues away

there's even one so you remember to take your pills today

chorus:

medication, we need more medication

a few more weeks of relaxation and everyone will be OK

we need stronger medication worked into our medicated nation

sweet chemical salvation in the light of a brand new day.

sweet chemical salvation in the light of a brand new day.

the end.

good song, we need to start hearing this song on the radio, perhaps in place of some of the never ending medication commercials, nice writing.
