Michael Jackson is he in Heaven or Hell Bound?
Michael in Eternity
Dearest Maggie:
Where do you think Michael Jackson is spending eternity?
Sincerely,
Wondering
Dearest Wondering:
Where did he go? Oh, I could sit here and speculate but the truth be told … no one really knows. The Bible says that God is the only one that can discern the heart of a man. He holds the heart of a king in the palm of His hand and turns it whichever way He wills. God desires that none would perish but all would inherit eternal life and live with him in eternity. Did Michael go to heaven or did he go to hell? We all have to spend eternity somewhere … where is he spending his?
The truth is … I don’t know and I wouldn’t dare try to speculate because only God knows what happened between Him and the “King of Pop” those last few moments before his death. The only thing that I do know is that Michael was given many an opportunity to offer his heart to the real King of Kings and Lord of Lords. My hope is that he did.
Michael Jackson was certainly a “king” in the eyes of man. He was worshipped and adored. I saw a video recently in which people actually bowed down before him and lifted their hands in worship. It actually made me weep not because he is dead but because so many people thought of him as a god. Michael Jackson was an idol in the eyes of many people yet he was nothing but a man in the eyes of God. A man who was lost and desperately needed a Savior … a sinner just like you and me. He was sad, full of fear and he died alone despite all of the adoration of people.
I do find it interesting that God in His love and mercy for Michael laid him on the heart of more than one minister before his death. Pastor Gregory Dickow on Sunday, June 21st makes mention of Michael as a child and talks about his relationship with his father. He appeals to Michael to get to know his “real father” the Lord. Watch it for yourself. It is amazing to see the heart of God for Michael Jackson as he drew near his time to step through the gate of death into eternity.
Jesus came for Michael Jackson just as he did for you and me. There is no doubt that Michael was given the chance to receive Jesus as His Lord and Savior. If he did, then there is hope for those of us who know Him that perhaps when the time comes we'll see the “King of Pop” bowing down before the King of Kings and he will be doing the worshipping. Now, that would be a “thriller!”
John 3:13-18
13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.[d]14Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.[e]
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[f] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.[
John 5:24-25
24"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. 25I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.
May “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” [Numbers 6:24-26]
