I felt this video was important to show where Michael Jackson started from.

Michael Jackson....whether you loved him or hated him, nobody could deny his impact on the music industry

Michael Jackson....a man who was best described as a innovator, perfectionist, and revolutionist within the music industry. However, for all the controversy and endeavors Michael Jackson has endured, no one could doubt his passion for the industry. For those expecting this to be a documentary about his life story ranging from his child hood to his death, you won't see that here. Instead, this film is a behind the scenes documentary of Michael Jackson's final concert, he was about to conduct before his untimely demise. Taking the audience through a step by step process of Michael's "hand on approach" as he tries to make his final concert as memorable as his career. Indeed, growing up as a kid, I'll always remember the man for not only his danceable music, but his deeply creative videos as well. During the documentary, it also showed various videos that Michael Jackson was working on as well as his concert, while showing the various artists that Michael has inspired that participate in his last show . Several of these videos pushing the limits and boundaries of entertainment as it keeps the viewer enthralled within Michael's deep creative process. Michael Jackson was definitely one of the best performers of his generation as his music not only defined and transcended race and boundaries, it also touched the hearts of many world wide.

During the movie, it shows interviews with various dancers and musical performers auditioning to work with Michael Jackson, for his final concert tour. As each performer/dancer tells the audience how much of an inspiration Michael's music and dancing has inspired them, and how his creativity constantly pushes the boundaries. As one dancer aptly put it, "Ever since I was a kid, Michael always inspired me with his dancing, so he was one of the reasons why I wanted to be in this business."

In one videos, he used bits and scenes of an old Humphrey Bogart movie, where he aptly puts himself into it, as Humphrey Bogart chases him throughout the video, "Smooth Criminal." This along with many others as he was working on a 3-D version of his hit video, "Thriller." As even one costume designer said, they had to literally invent things that have never been done before to match Michael's vision of his newest videos.

Michael Jackson has endured fame throughout the world as his music has touched the hearts of many. As his documentary's final words were, "Michael Jackson King of Pop Love lives forever." His songs were always potent to his passion for life as he not only sang about songs that told intriguing story like "Thriller", but he sang songs that mattered to what he cared about like the rain forest, "Earth Song."

Indeed, despite the controversy surrounding his life, nobody can deny his impact on the music industry as he was not only a great singer, but a perfectionist in his craft. Constantly pushing the boundaries of creativity as his songs continue to inspire people world wide. Indeed, "This Is It" portrays Michael Jackson as the creative genius he's always been, as his music like so many other music legends will live on.

Very interesting hub on a great topic! I wasn't sure whether to vote for music legend or misunderstood genius, in the end went with legend.
